Date of Birth: April 11, 1926
Place of Birth: Crellin, MD
Parents: late David and Dora (Durst) Bowman.
Occupation: Guard at the West Virginia Correctional Center of the U.S. 
            Government in Morgantown, W.Va., before his retirement in 1975.
Military: Served in the U.S. Marines as a gunnery sergeant for 25 years, 
          retiring in 1962.  For service in World War ii, he received the 
          Purple Heart in Spain in 1944.
Survived By: His wife, two sons, five daughters, three stepsons, two 
             stepdaughters, four brothers, a sister and 15 Grandchildren.
Funeral: Stark Memorial
Interment: Highland Memorial Park.
