Caulk & wife to Chas. Wesley Jones Be it remembered that on this 31 day of October A.D. 1885 there was brought to be recorded among the Land records of Kent County, A Deed, which is in the words following to wit:/ [Folio 223] This deed made this 23rd day of May in the year eighteen hundred and eighty-two, by us, Joshua Thomas Caulk and Catharine Caulk his wife, Witnesseth that in consideration of One hundred and eighty dollars, we, the said Joshua Thomas Cork [sic.] and his wife do grant unto Charles Wesley Jones, all that lot or tract of land containing five acres, more or less, and known as the Jacob Cork Lot, situated in the Second Election District of Kent County, Maryland, on the south side of the public road, leading from Chestertown to Millington and bounded by said public road, the road leading into the farm of Jacob Barkman, the lands of the colored peoples Methodist Church, the lands of Jacob Barkman, and the Emory Hynson or Milkie Rasin lot. Toemblinson State of Maryland Baltimore City to wit: I hereby certify that on this Twenty third day of October one Thousand and Eight Hundred and Eighty Two before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland, in and for Baltimore City personally appeared Joshua T.
