All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Isaac Freeman (d1732) Will Kent County MD Maryland Hall of Records Liber 30, folio 49 (Microfilm SR4424-1) Written 27 January 1756 Proved 1 March 1756 In the name of God Amen, I Isaac Freeman of Kent County in the Province of Maryland being at the present time very Sick and weak in Body but of Sound and perfect mind and memory Thanks be to almighty God for the same do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say Imprimis I most humbly give and bequeath my soul Almighty God who gave it me beseeching his most Gratious acceptance of the same and my body to the Earth to be buried by my Executors hereafter mentioned in a Decent manner Second I give and bequeath unto my Loving wife Hannah my Lands called Vinna and Freeman’s Addition during her natural Life and after her Decease to my Son William and his heirs and assigns forever Thirdly, I give and Bequeath unto my Son in Law Willm Woodard every thing that he is now Possesd with which I formerly Lett them have with the Land I bought of Mr Wallace which now is in the possession of Mr William Raisin which is all I intend him to have Fourthly I give and bequeath unto my eldest Son Abraham the Land he now lives on being the first and Second purchase I made of Andw Pearce in Quantity two hundred and fifty acres and he is to have no more in that neck I also give unto him my aford son one half or moiety of Several following tracts of Land Vizt Timber Levill By Chance Peters forrest and addition to Timber Levill Fifthly I give and bequeath unto my second Son Isaac his heirs assigns all the remaining part of my Lands Purchased of or from Andw Pearce in that neck not given to my Son Abraham Sixthly I give and Bequeath unto my third son Jacob and heirs and assigns for ever all my Land Called broad Oake purchased by me from Benjamin Jones with some more that is taken in a Resurvey by said Jones and patented to me as also all the other half or moiety of four tracts call Timber Levill By Chance Peters forrest and Addition to Timber Levill the other part thereof willed to my Son Abraham Seventhly I give and bequeath to my son William after the Death of his mother all the Lands Willed to her heretofore during her natural Life and in case my Son William Dye without Lawfull Issue then my will is that the Lands Will to him after the death of his mother to be right and property of my son Jacob and his heirs forever My Will further is that my Son William have one third part of my Personal Estate according to appraisment Eightly I give unto my Daughter Mary to her and her heirs forever my Land called Chance whereof Neal ? now lives. I also give unto my said Daughter a negro Boy names Ben and a girl named Kaithall and their increase with ten head of sheep to good ? a good Feather Bed and good furniture and a good horse to about four years old with two cows and calves and thirty Pounds cash when she arrives at Eighteen years of age or marriage Ninethly my Will is that all the remaining part of my said Estate be Equally divided between my three eldest Sons Abm Isaac and Jacob and I do hereby appoint and ? my loving wife Hannah and my Son Abraham executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby confirming all that the said Exrs Lawfully do or cause to be done In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and Seal this 27th day of January 1756 x (seal) Signed Sealed and Delivered and pronounced to be his last Will before us Willm Lovelin Jno Falconer & John Scott On the Back of the aforegoing Will was wrote the following Probate Vizt Kent County ? on the first day of March 1756 William Lovelin and John Falconer two of the subscribing witnesses to the within written Will of Isaac Freeman the Testator being Sworn on the holy Evangels of Almighty God deposed and declared that they saw the said Testator sign and seal the same Will and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their knowledge & apprehension of Sound and Disposing mind and memory and that they the sd Deponents together with John Scott the other subscribing Witness Subscribed their respective names as Witnesses to the same Will in the presence and at the request of the said Testator Joseph Nicholson Dep Comry Kent Coty 9 ½ sides
