She was born in Twin Branch, W.Va., and had lived in Gaithersburg since childhood. She was retired from the federal government where she had worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Mrs. Robertson was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, where she sang in the choir for many years. She is survived by her sisters, Lillian W. Ward of Rockville, Gertrude W. Robertson of Bethesda and Margaret W. Payne of Pawley's Island, S.C.; brother, Morris W. Wells of Rockville; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Robertson. Funeral services were private. Burial was in Parklawn Memorial Park. Pumphrey Funeral Home in Rockville handled the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 11331 Amherst Ave., Silver Spring, Md. 20902. Agnes Mader Agnes Mader, 84, of Rockville died May 30 at Shady Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rockville. Born April 2, 1914, in Minnesota, she was a daughter of the late Algott and Hilda Johnson. Mrs. Mader was of the Lutheran faith. She had worked as a book binder for a publishing company in Rockville before retirement. Mrs. Mader is survived by three sons, Thomas Mader and Jerome Mader, both of Gaithersburg, and Richard Mader of Silver Spring; two sisters, Mary Lore and Olga Ricci, both of Minnesota; and six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Memorial services and interment will be held in Minnesota at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were handled by the Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville. Barbara Ann Bruner Barbara Ann Bruner, 52, of Ashton died May 27 at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney. Born Sept. 25, 1945, in Baltimore County, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy Offerman Fair. She was the wife of Charles J. Bruner. Mrs. Bruner was a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville and received an associate degree in English from Montgomery College. She was of the Catholic faith. Her hobbies included gardening and going to yard sales. Mrs. Bruner worked as a science editor for Health and Human Services in Rockville for approximately 30 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Julie B. Sullivan and her husband L. Jason Sullivan of Jessup and Michael C. Bruner and his wife Stacie R. Bruner of Gaithersburg; a grandson, Thomas Sullivan of Jessup; two sisters, Jean Bittner of Germantown and Donna Davidson of Texas; and a brother, John Fair of Derwood. She was predeceased by a brother, Russell Fair. Funeral services were held Monday at Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville. Interment was at Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
