Samalik Alyce Marie Samalik, 70, died of kidney failure July 21, 2004, at her residence in Montgomery Village, where she had lived for the past 42 years. Mrs. Samalik was born March 6, 1934, in Princeton, W.Va., the daughter of the late Trieby Duvall Easter and Aileen Malissa Rorrer. Mrs. Samalik attended high school in Princeton. She worked for many years as an interior designer. In addition to her husband of 29 years, John Samalik Sr., she is survived by two sons, Todd Hylton of New Market, and "Buckey" Hylton and wife, Susie Hylton, of Atlanta; daughter Donna Knight of Montgomery Village; step-son John Samalik Jr. of Sterling Heights, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Poling, 88, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Montgomery Village, died July 6, 2004. Born Sept. 21, 1915, in Westville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Cowles. She was the wife of the late John S. Poling for 52 years. Mrs. Poling was valedictorian of her high school class of 1933 and was Illinois state spelling champion. She owned Poling Realty of Rockville. Survivors include two sons, Daniel J. Poling and wife Maryanne of Ocala and Philip Poling of Williamsburg, Va.; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Arrangements were made by The National Cremation Society. Steven A. Beck Steven A. Beck, 52, of Germantown died July 23, 2004. Born Sept. 17, 1951, in Kingston, N.Y., he was the son of Victoria Louise Beck and the late Emmitt Thomas Beck. He was the husband of Jennie Beck for 19 years. Survivors include five children, Steven, Dorinda, Jimmy, Ginette and Michael, and six grandchildren. Born Nov. 2, 1942, in Somerville, Mass., he was the son of George W. and Beryl Kelson. Mr. Kelson graduated from Boston University with a bachelor's degree and began his career as a writer. He lived in the Washington area for the past 30 years. Mr. Kelson is survived by three children, Kelly Ward and her husband, Jay, of Smithsburg, Md., Andrew Kelson of Germantown, and Kristin Kelson of Everett, Mass.; a sister, Merideth Kelson of Mason, N.H.; and two grandchildren. Lambert, 90, of Germantown died July 23, 2004, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Born May 21, 1914, in Poolesville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Luhn Cubitt. She was the wife of the late James C. Lambert, who died in 1994. Mrs. Lambert and her family moved to a farm in Germantown in 1940 and she farmed there for 20 years. After leaving the farm, she was a substitute teacher, a waitress and cook at the Germantown Store. Later she worked for the Postal Service and retired in 1979 after 21 years of service as assistant postmaster. Her hobbies included gardening and reading. Survivors include five children, Rebecca Lambert of California, Patricia Lambert of Germantown, James Lambert and wife, Mary, of Poolesville, Donald Lambert and wife, Rhonda, of Mount Airy, Darryl and wife, Debbie, of Mount Airy; one brother, Donald Cubitt and wife, Kathryn, of Rockville; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Francis Cubitt, and one sister, Shirley Norris. Leible Nina Alice Leible, 85, of Rockville died July 18, 2004, from complications of diabetes at Potomac Valley Nursing and Wellness Center, where she resided for nearly seven years. Born June 11, 1919, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Theodore Madison King and Helen Ethel Andres King. She was the wife of the late Charles Frank Leible Sr. for 47 years. Mrs. Leible worked at Airpax Electronics in Plantation, Fla., for 30 years. She was a past member of Myers Homemakers Club in Westminster and the senior centers in Westminster, Taneytown and Gaithersburg and Littlestown, Pa. Her hobbies included reading, ceramics, knitting, painting and doll making, particularly Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. Survivors include three children, Mercedes V. Lockhart of Germantown, Sharon L. Bowen of Westminster, and Charles F. Leible Jr. and wife Maureen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John C. Bowen. She was a homemaker. Born April 20, 1910, in Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Loren and Mary Conrad McCormick. She was the wife of Theodore T. Freeman. Besides her husband, she is survived by three children: Barbara Jean Rommal and husband, Murray of Columbia, Janet Freeman Stadler and husband, Peter of Laytonsville, Florence Orlando and husband Louis of Fort Myers, Fla., eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Davis Jenne Denise "Nee Nee" (Cook) Davis, 43, of Gaithersburg died July 19, 2004, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Born Dec. 10, 1960, in Maryland, she was the daughter of Shirley L. Cook of Silver Spring and the late Stewart Cook. Ms. Cook was a homemaker for most of her life. Patricia Ann Griffin Patricia Ann Griffin, 58, of Takoma Park and Germantown, died July 27, 2004, of lung cancer. Rowe, 82, of Sarasota, Fla., who had been living with his son in Damascus, died July 31, 2004, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Born Oct. 25, 1921, in Iowa, he was the son of the late Clarmont R. and Anne B. Rowe. He was the husband of Janice L. Rowe. Mr. Rowe was a member of Covenant Life Presbyterian Church in Sarasota, Church of the Redeemer in Gaithersburg and of Sigma Nu fraternity. Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Mark R. Rowe and wife Bobbi of Damascus; one sister, Anita Anderson of Washington; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Amzel and Beulah. Stanford II, 54, of Derwood died of pancreatic cancer on July 28, 2004, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Born Sept. 1, 1949, in Vancouver, Canada, he was the son of the late Russell E.L. Stanford and Dorothy McCrory Stanford. He was the husband of Elizabeth Stanford for 14 years. Mr. Stanford served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1976. He worked with the Metropolitan Police Department as a detective and retired after 21 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors in addition to his wife include a brother, Tom Stanford and wife Evelyn; and two nieces and three nephews. Austin L. Wood Austin Lynn "Woodie" Wood, 71, of Middletown, who worked in Gaithersburg for many years, died suddenly on July 31, 2004, in Frederick. Born June 21, 1933, in Reileyville, Va., he was the son of Mary A. Foster Wood of Urbana and the late James L. Wood. He was the husband of Carole Ann (Edwards) Wood for 47 years. Mr. Wood attended Frederick High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Heritage Builders in Gaithersburg for many years. In the early 1970s, he started his own construction and remodeling business. He was a member of Hyattstown United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the John R. Webb VFW Post 3285 of Frederick. Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include three sons, Barry L. Wood and wife Ellen of Middletown, Mark E. Wood and wife JoAnn of Thurmont, and Duane T. Reitemeier Robert Francis Reitemeier, 92, a former soils expert with the Atomic Energy Commission and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, died July 25, 2004, of pneumonia and diabetes-related ailments at Genesis-Salisbury Center in Salisbury. He had recently moved from Leisure World in Aspen Hill to an assisted living facility in Salisbury. A chemist who specialized in assessing the effects of atomic energy on soil and plants, Dr. Reitemeier was born in Logansport, Ind., where his family owned the Bridge City Candy Company. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1933 from Purdue University, his master's degree in 1935 from the University of Missouri and his Ph.D. in 1938 from the University of Arizona, where he was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. After working for the Shell Oil Company, he took a research position in 1939 at the U.S. Salinity Laboratory of the United States Department of Agriculture in Riverside, Calif. In 1945 he continued his research in soil fertility and metaphosphates at the Plant Industry Station of the USDA's Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville. Dr. Reitemeier was temporarily detailed to the Mutual Security Agency in 1953 to 1954, moving with his family to Ankara, Turkey, where he provided expertise for improving Turkish agriculture as an adviser to the Ministry of Agriculture. In 1956 he transferred to the Atomic Energy Commission as a soil scientist in the biology branch. Three years later he served as the government's coordinator for an international agricultural conference held in 1959 at the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Rome. After serving as assistant chief of the AEC's Environmental Sciences Branch in the Division of Biology and Medicine, he retired in 1972 following 33 years of government service. Dr. Reitemeier was named a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1961, and was elected to membership in the New York Academy of Sciences and the Washington Academy of Sciences. Following retirement, he and his wife, Dorothea, moved to Ojai and Ventura, Calif., before returning to the Washington, D.C., area in 1981. After living in Foggy Bottom in the District, they resided at Leisure World until 2002, spending part of the year in Dewey Beach, Del. Dr. Reitemeier is survived by his wife of 69 years and three daughters, Marguerite Kulka of Okemos, Mich., Diane Maddex of Bethany Beach, Del., and Karen Monaco of Dewey Beach; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born Nov. 22, 1955, in Bethesda, he was the son of Mae Watts Parsons of Rockville and the late Ernest Charles Watts. He was the husband of Kathryn "Kat" Butler for 28 years. Mr. and Mrs. Watts owned and operated a ceramic business, Greenware Alley, for several years, then owned and operated a remodeling and construction business. Born May 18, 1921, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of the late Zygumd Wienckowski and Stella Gramza. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Banaszak) Wienckowski. Mr. Wienckowski served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bleadingheiser Nola P. (Babb) Bleadingheiser, 78, of Gaithersburg died Aug. 16, 2004, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late William Babb and Lulu (Baldwin) Babb. She was the wife of James E. Bleadingheiser for 56 years. Born Oct. 17, 1925, in Charlestown, Ohio, she was raised on a small dairy farm and graduated from Charlestown High School. She met and married her husband in Ravenna, Ohio. A career homemaker, Mrs. Bleadingheiser raised three children while moving with her husband to more than 14 different homes in Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina and Maryland. Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, James J. Bleadingheiser of New Bern, N.C.; two daughters, Linda J. Kerner of Bethesda and Annette C.B. Morgan of Gaithersburg; a sister, Estella Decker of Ravenna; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bell Carol Hewitt Bell, 54, of Smithsburg, formerly of Damascus, died Aug. 14, 2004 at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born Nov. 27, 1949, in Harrisonburg, Va., she was the daughter of Norrie Hewitt Gill of Damascus and the late Rev. Albert Hewitt. She was the wife of Keith E. Bell for 11 years. Mrs. Bell graduated from Towson University with a degree in music education. She served as minister of music in several churches in Baltimore and Wilmington, N.C. She was director of marketing at Keystone Fruit Packing Company in Green Castle, Pa., at the time of her death. Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include a daughter, Wendy Gentry and husband, Robert, of Wilmington, N.C.; two sons, Andrew Warren and wife, Sarah, of Apex, N.C., and Matthew Warren and wife, Catherine, of Wilson, N.C.; and three granddaughters. Bryan Eunice B. Bryan, 91, of DeLand, Fla., formerly of Leisure World, died Aug. 9, 2004, at The Cloisters Retirement Community. Mrs. Ryan was born May 21, 1913, a daughter of the late Harvey and Edna Plummer Boswell. She was born in Laytonsville and grew up in Brookeville, where her father was postmaster and proprietor of a country store. In 2002 she moved to DeLand from Leisure World in Aspen Hill. Mrs. Bryan had worked as a secretary for Montgomery County Public Schools for 23 years. She retired in 1974, having served as secretary to the principal at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring and Col. Zadok Magruder High School in Derwood. She was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church in Brookeville and the United Methodist Women in Florida. She attended Lake Helen United Methodist Church and its Bible Bunch Women's Bible Study. She was the wife of the late W. Tarlton Bryan Sr., a dairy farmer and milk transporter who died in 1981. She is survived by a son, Walter T. Bryan Jr. of Linden, Va.; and a daughter, Janet Argenbright and husband Walter N. Argenbright Jr. of DeLand. A brother, Wilton J. She was born June 20, 1929, in Mathias, W.Va., the daughter of the late William and Catherine Weaver. She was married to Joseph F. Johnson for 54 years. Black Jr., 83, of Montgomery Village died Aug. 3, 2004, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Born Sept. 28, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Donald Black Sr. and Faith Black. He was the husband of Betty Black for 60 years. Col. Black was a graduate of Wayne State University and began his Air Force career in 1943 as a private during World War II. He was promoted to lieutenant as a flight engineer for the then-new B-29 Super Fortress. His squadron, part of the 20th Bomber Command, escorted some of the first B-29's from the United States to India. They were later flown from China in the bombing of Japan. Col. Black's career in the Air Force included a tour during the Korean War and two assignments at the Pentagon in the 1960s and 1970s. He was part of the group responsible for the operational deployment of the SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. He served as the commander of the USAF postal representative in Europe and the Middle East from 1973-1977. He concluded his career in 1978 as the Warner Robbins Air Force Base inspector general. His service awards included the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Presidential Unit Citation and Meritorious Service Medal. Col. Black earned a bachelor of science degree in 1942 and a master of science degree in administration in 1973 from George Washington University. Col. Black was the general manager for maintenance and community management with the Montgomery Village Foundation from 1981 to 1989. For the past 15 years he devoted himself to a variety of community service organizations, including the Montgomery Village Rotary Club, the Civil Air Patrol, Meals on Wheels and the Air Life Association, in which he flew needy sick patients or their families to hospitals that could better help them. His passion was flying, and he was an active member of the Congressional Flying Club operating out of the Montgomery County Airpark. He flew regularly until just before his death and was an instrument-rated mission pilot and Check Airman for the Civil Air Patrol. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Bruce Black and wife Elizabeth of Montgomery Village and Michael Black of Seabrook, Md.; one sister, Jean Lelek of California; one brother, Doug Black of Michigan; and six grandchildren. A funeral service was held Aug. 7 at DeVol Funeral Home Chapel in Gaithersburg. Orin F. Burdette Jr. Orin F. "Jim" Burdette Jr., 72, of Harbeson, Del., formerly of Gaithersburg, died Aug. 19, 2004, at his residence. Born July 27, 1932, in Dickerson, he was the son of the late Orin Foster Burdette Sr. and Margaret Redmon Burdette. He was the husband of Rosemary (Watkins) Burdette. Mr. Burdette served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked in civil service as a rural letter carrier in the Gaithersburg area for 34 years and retired in 1987. He had also been a barber for over 45 years in the Maryland and Delaware areas. He was a devoted member of the Lions Club for over 40 years, moving through officers' positions while living in Maryland. During his time with Lions he was involved in the start of many programs, including the Midway Lions Club in 1999. He was very active in the Democratic Party, most recently as chair of the 14th District. Survivors in addition to his wife include six daughters, Kay, Jill, Lori, Teri, Jacki and Karen; one stepdaughter, Brenda; five brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Darlington Joseph A. Darlington, 76, of Gaithersburg died of colon cancer on Aug. 22, 2004, at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Born June 27, 1928, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Charles Darlington and Florence Sears. He was the husband of Margaret Darlington. Mr. Darlington served in the U.S. Army for three years and served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters, Mary Jackson of Valdosta, Ga., Barbara Clark of Gaithersburg, Jo Ann Wright and husband Tim of Gaithersburg and Teresa Randall and husband Tom of Owings Mills; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Francis W. Howard Francis W. "Frank" Howard, 93, of Gaithersburg died Aug. 16, 2004, at Wilson Health Care Center in Gaithersburg. Born July 25, 1911, in Quince Orchard, he was the son of the late Charles B. and Addie Small Howard. He was the husband of Helen Easton Howard for 13 years. Mr. Howard attended Gaithersburg High School and worked briefly in construction before going to work for D.C. Transit. He retired in 1973 after 40 years of service. He attended Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Center in Gaithersburg. Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Lois Howard of Chevy Chase and Nancy Meadows and husband Dale of Gaithersburg; one daughter-in-law, Delores Howard of Rockville; a stepdaughter, Diane Brigham; two stepsons, David Easton and Bradley Everhart; one sister, Hazel Mills of Thurmont; one brother, Upton Howard and wife Mary Theresa of Little River, S.C.; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ethel Mills Howard, and another wife, Mildred Everhart Howard; one son, Marvin L. Howard; and a stepson, Robert Everhart. Malone Nickolas Jacob Malone, infant son of Steven L. and Mary Jane Malone of Frederick, died Aug. 17, 2004, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Bryan, 91, of DeLand, Fla., formerly of Leisure World, died Aug. 9, 2004, at The Cloisters Retirement Community. Mrs. Ryan was born May 21, 1913, a daughter of the late Harvey and Edna Plummer Boswell. She was born in Laytonsville and grew up in Brookeville, where her father was postmaster and proprietor of a country store. In 2002 she moved to DeLand from Leisure World in Aspen Hill. Mrs. Bryan had worked as a secretary for Montgomery County Public Schools for 23 years. She retired in 1974, having served as secretary to the principal at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring and Col. Zadok Magruder High School in Derwood. She was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church in Brookeville and the United Methodist Women in Florida. She attended Lake Helen United Methodist Church and its Bible Bunch Women's Bible Study. She was the wife of the late W. Tarlton Bryan Sr., a dairy farmer and milk transporter who died in 1981. She is survived by a son, Walter T. Bryan Jr. of Linden, Va.; and a daughter, Janet Argenbright and husband Walter N. Argenbright Jr. of DeLand. A brother, Wilton J. Arrangements were by the Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville. Fred W. Johansen Fred William Johansen, 93, of Jefferson, Md., died Aug. 10, 2004, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born March 28, 1911, in Hay Springs, Neb., he was the son of the late Frederick William and Annie Eliza (Williams) Johansen and the twin brother of Ferd Johansen. He was the husband of Madge E. Johansen for 57 years. While growing up in Hay Springs, Mr. Johansen worked at Charlie Riley's grocery store and began working at Skeen's Wonder Show at the age of 13. He and his brother learned magic tricks and began entertaining in schools and other places around Hay Springs. Mr. Johansen graduated from Hay Springs High School in 1930 and relocated to Omaha during the Depression in order to find work. He attended the Bickel School of Advertising and went to business school. Mr. Johansen began a career entertaining as a professional magician for trade shows, dinners, churches and in theaters while working for a large furniture store. He joined the U.S. Navy shortly after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor in 1941. He went to Washington, D.C., and worked with communication specialists in the Navy Department. Two years later he was sent to Chunking, China, to the headquarters of Adm. Milton Miles. He traveled across China into Mongolia as far as the Great Wall of China to Navy radio stations, airfields, Chinese government castles, warlord's homes, Chinese army camps and religious temples. After the war ended, Mr. Johansen settled in Washington, D.C., where he met and married Madge E. Morris. They had four children and moved into a home they built on Briggs Chaney Road in Montgomery County in 1955. They attended Spencerville Free Methodist Church. Mr. Johansen retired from the National Security Agency after 32 years of government service. Upon his retirement, he was commended for his dedication to the United States Government and for his support of NSA's mission. Little is known about his accomplishments at NSA because his work was highly secretive; however, it is known he was a cryptologist during the cold war. His "part-time" career as a professional magician was his passion. Every year at Christmas time, Mr. Johansen would entertain news reporters and their families at the National Press Club. He often performed magic for the patients at the National Institute of Health (NIH) until he was no longer able to do so. He was a member of the Society of American Magicians for 74 years. In 2002, the Maryland State Highway Administration purchased the Johansen home on Briggs Chaney Road and they moved to Jefferson. Survivors in addition to his wife include four children, Bunny Galladora and husband Victor of Gaithersburg, Hazel Johansen, Darlene Pierce and husband Richard of Laurel and Fred "Skip" Johansen and wife Donna of Gaithersburg; four sisters, Constance Miller of Oelrichs, S.D., Thelma Carter of Boulder, Colo., Madge Dugger of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and Norma Patton and husband Kenneth of Casper, Wyo.; one brother, Ellis Johansen and wife Inez of Alamogordo, N.M.; and six grandchildren. Johnson Flossie Weaver Johnson, 75, a 33-year resident of Derwood, died at Holy Cross Hospital of natural causes on Aug. 8, 2004. She was born June 20, 1929, in Mathias, W.Va., the daughter of the late William and Catherine Weaver. She was married to Joseph F. Johnson for 54 years. Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, Donna J. Titus of Derwood, Cherllynn D. Saunders of Colorado and Robin A. Saunders of Montgomery Village; two sons, Joseph Johnson Jr. of Derwood and Richard Johnson of Martinsburg, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Catherine Dinges of Derwood. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Derwood. Lois W. Johnson Lois W. Johnson, 67, of Woodbine died Aug. 15, 2004, at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney due to complications from an infection. Born Nov. 29, 1936, in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Julia Garver Weaver. She was the wife of David F. Johnson of Woodbine for 49 years. Mrs. Johnson was a school bus driver for Montgomery County Public Schools and retired after 34 years of service. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Sunshine. She liked gardening and farm animals. Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Lois "Jodi" A. Parsley and husband Kenny of Knoxville; a son, David W. Johnson and wife Carol of Ellicott City; a sister, Judy "Sue" Tolson of Sykesville; four brothers, Jack Weaver of Pennsylvania, John Weaver of Mount Airy, Sam Weaver of Comus and Garland Weaver of Florida; and six grandchildren. Stachura Ruth Virginia Stachura, 91, of Sandy Spring died Aug. 16, 2004, at Friends Nursing Home in Sandy Spring. Born Aug. 15, 1913, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Marion L. Chapman and Edith M. Hubbard. She was the wife of the late John T. (Jack) Stachura Sr. Survivors include two sons, James E. Stachura and wife Peggy of Darnestown and F. Patrick Stachura and wife Billie of LaPlata; one sister, Marjorie A. Mooney of California; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, John T. Stachura, Virginia M. Bollinger and Kenneth M. Stachura. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Darnestown Presbyterian Church, 15120 Turkey Foot Road in Gaithersburg. Lyman Rachel Lyman, 88, a longtime Bethesda resident, church worker and school secretary, died July 17, 2004, of respiratory failure at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring. Mrs. Lyman moved to Bethesda with her husband, Frank, in December 1941. She was a secretary with the FDIC and in 1948 became parish secretary under the Rev. William Creighton at St. John's Episcopal, Norwood Parish, Chevy Chase. Her life was distinguished by her passion to help people. She cared for children in her home, taught Sunday School Kindergarten for 25 years and was involved in several church initiatives, such as the Opportunity Shop, Strawberry Festivals, Women of St. John's and the St. Barnabas Mission. In 1959, Mrs. Lyman became administrative assistant for Principal Roberta Barnes at Lafayette Elementary in Washington, D.C. In Mrs. Lyman's retirement years, she continued her involvement by caring for others through church and neighborhood activities. Mrs. Lyman is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank; a son, Frank Jr. and his wife Sandra of Columbia; two grandchildren, Sarah Lyman Kravits and Frank Lyman III; and three great-grandchildren, Josephine Kravits, Louis Kravits and Aislin Lyman.
