Born May 8, 1924 in Atlanta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late J. Corry and S. Estelle Banks. She was the wife of Robert E. Simpson of Ocean Pines, Md. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Daughters of the King. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Simpson is survived by two sons, James Simpson of Lutherville and William Simpson of Gaithersburg; two daughters, Sarah Pierson of Gaithersburg and Susan Crawford of E. Wenatchee, Wash.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Banks. Lucille Mitchell Lucille Mitchell, 86, of Gaithersburg died Oct. 29, 2004 of Alzheimer's disease. Born July 21, 1918 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna Prasser. She was the wife of the late Paul D. Mitchell for 44 years. Survivors include three children, Paul D. Mitchell III of Greensboro, N.C., Gregory N. Mitchell of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Jamie E. Mitchell of Gaithersburg, one sister, Dorris Pauers of Milwaukee, Wisc. and one brother, Norbert Prasser of Bonita Springs, Fla., three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 at Arlington National Cemetery. Pumphrey Funeral Home, Rockville. Timothy Morley Timothy Morley, 98, died Oct. 17, 2004, at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney. Mr. Morley was born on Oct. 6, 1906, in Coomnakilla, Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland. He was the seventh of 14 children born to Daniel Morley and Norah O'Neill. He immigrated to the United States in 1926 and became a citizen in 1933. During World War II he served in the United States Navy. He had a long and enjoyable career with the Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. Faith, family, friends, good will, wisdom, wit and a deep love of music characterized Mr. Morley's life. He was an accomplished fiddler and often played at Irish American events. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. His wife, Nellie Daly Morley, preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Daniel; two daughters, Margaret Yates and Nora Blau; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel and Morgan; three sisters, Mary Ellen Kelliher, Agnes McGurk and Lena O'Shea; and children-in-law Linda Morley, Jim Yates and Jeff Blau. Born Dec. 25, 1968, in Ashton, she was the daughter of the late James and Lois Futrell. She was the wife of Theodore "Ted" Ruberti. Ruth Farley Linthicum Ruth Farley Linthicum, 84, of Frederick, and formerly of Gaithersburg, Wheaton and Washington D.C., died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Glade Valley Nursing Center after a long illness. Born Aug. 13, 1920, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Ernest "Jack" Waldren Farley and Roxana (Roxie) G. Skiles Farley. Ruth graduated Western High School in Washington, D.C. She retired from the United States government where she worked as an editor. She was also a licensed real estate agent and sold real estate in Montgomery County for a number of years. She is survived by two daughters, Roxana Linthicum Newquist and family of Woodbine, and Mary Virginia White of Frederick; a brother Dr. William Farley and family of Raleigh, N.C., and former husband Donald Eugene Linthicum of Rockville. Mullinix, 72, of Mount Airy died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at the Kline Hospice in Mount Airy. He was the husband of Kathryn A. Mullinix, whom he married Aug. 8, 1981. Born Oct. 10, 1932, at the Breezy Locust Homestead in Mount Airy, he was the son of the late J. Herbert and Lottie F. Watkins Mullinix. Mr. Mullinix was a farmer and farmed and lived at Breezy Locust Homestead. He was a member of the Antique Farm Museum, past president of the Future Farmers of America and a member of the Howard Chapel/Ridgeville United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Stephanie A. Dugan of Germantown, Michael S. Dugan of Damascus, Martin G. Dugan of Damascus and Erin M. Ms. Weimer was a floral designer at Plants, Etc. in Potomac and a department manager for Bed, Bath and Beyond in Rockville. Her hobbies included music and traveling to Rehoboth Beach. Nov. 23, 2004 Allan Lyman Fletcher Mr. Allan Lyman Fletcher, 76, of Germantown, formerly of Gaithersburg, died Nov. 18, 2004 of natural causes at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. Born May 12, 1928 in Maryland, he was a son of the late George C. and Anna F. Small Fletcher. He was the husband of Clara A. Fletcher for 50 years. Mr. Fletcher attended Gaithersburg High School and served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Germany. He worked for Wright Commercial Products in Frederick for 19 years and at Bethesda Naval Hospital for 36 years. He was a retired welder. His hobbies included fishing, playing dominoes, bowling and traveling. He was an Orioles fan and a Redskins fan. Survivors in addition to his wife include three children, Glen A. Barber Funeral Home, Laytonsville. Daniel Paul Sivert Daniel Paul Sivert, 52, of Boyds, died Nov. 19, 2004 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore due to an auto accident. Born July 25, 1952 in Baltimore, he was the son of Mary Sivert of Florida and Austin Sivert of Boyds. He was the husband of the late Betty Dahl Sivert. Mr. Sivert was the owner of The Danny Sivert Company, Inc., which he founded 31 years ago. Survivors in addition to his parents include three children, Alex, Donny and Savannah all of Boyds; a brother, Thomas Sivert of Nevada; sisters Patricia Pesatvro of Arnold, Barbara Sivert of Florida, and Carol Sarge of Virginia; and companion, Carole Gibson of Olney. Arthur Lynwood Clark Arthur Lynwood Clark, 75, of Olney died Nov. 14, 2004. He was the husband of Phoebe Clark for 56 years. He is survived by three children, Caroline Weber, Virginia Johnson and Colleen Fitch; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a long-time resident of Olney. A service was held Nov. 18 at MorningStar Church in Laytonsville. Burial was at Arlington National Cemetery. "Fuzzy" Karr, 75, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Olney, died Nov. 16, 2004, in Port Charlotte, Fla. Born Nov. 25, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the husband of Marianne L. Karr. Mr. Karr was a retired schoolteacher and football coach. He retired in 1989 from Col. Zadok Magruder High School in Derwood. Survivors in addition to his wife of 42 years include four children, Judi Rinaldi of Derwood, Jimmy Karr of Punta Gorda, Jodie Siarkas of Brookeville and Jill Rogers of Silver Spring; a sister, Mary Evelyn Duessel of Indianwood, Fla.; a brother, Robert Karr of Pittsburgh; and eight grandchildren and three sons-in- law. Cordelli Daniel V. Cordelli Sr. 87, of Rockville, a retired Montgomery County teacher, died Nov. 17, 2004, of natural causes at his home. Born July 17, 1917, in Eynon, Pa., he was the son of the late Dominick and Mary Naticchi Cordelli. He was the husband of Crystal Cordelli for 62 years. Mr. Cordelli was a graduate of Mansfield University and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge with one Oak Leaf Cluster, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with six Bronze Stars. During his military service he participated in the air offensive in Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He taught for Montgomery Country Public Schools from 1952 until his retirement in 1976. Survivors in addition to his wife include four children, Carol Bowers and husband Daniel, Daniel Cordelli Jr., Melanie Page and husband Rocky and Greg Cordelli and wife Vicky; one sister, Irene Cordelli; one brother, Enis Kimberling; and four grandchildren. Born Sept. 5, 1921, in Mayberry, Va., he was the son of the late Nat A. and Cynthia L. Weddle Stanley. He was the husband of the late N. Kathryn Stanley, who died Sept. 24, 2004. Mr. Stanley was a retired equipment operator for the Montgomery County Department of Transportation and was a dairyman for farmers in the Gaithersburg and Damascus areas. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth E. Stanley and wife Sharon of Hagerstown and Roy L. Stanley and wife Joan of Ijamsville; one brother, Burton Stanley and wife Etta of Ararat, Va.; and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Venit Edward Richard Venit, 53, of Bethesda died Nov. 20, 2004, of complications of multiple system atrophy at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda. Born Sept. 2, 1951, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Edward and Joan Ashman Venit. He was the husband of Nan (Gianquinto) Venit for 31 years. Mr. Venit attended Walter Johnson High School and held a bachelor of arts degree from Georgetown University and a juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law School. He recently retired from Mizuho Securities USA Inc. In addition to his wife, Mr. Venit is survived by four children, Edward P. Venit of Durham, N.C., Kathryn A. Venit of Bloomington, Ind., Elizabeth L. Venit of Bethesda and Christopher P. Venit of Kensington; and three brothers, Eric P. Venit of Gaithersburg, Gregory J. Venit of North Bethesda and David T. Venit of Aspen Hill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 9601 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. Burial will be private. Arrangements were made by DeVol Funeral Home in Gaithersburg. Regina T. Wilk Regina T. Wilk, 81, formerly of Leisure World, died Nov. 14, 2004, of natural causes at the Olney home of her son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Heather Wilk. Born July 25, 1923, in Watervliet, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Tekla Rajczewski. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Wilk. Mrs. Wilk was the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Albany High School in 1941 and in 1943 married U.S. Army Lt. Anthony J. Wilk in Albany, N.Y. She worked for the War Department while her husband fought in Europe. After War World II she lived in Maryland, New Mexico and New York. In the summer of 1967, her son Eric was seriously wounded in Vietnam and her son William was killed there. Mrs. Wilk became involved in American Gold Star Mother Inc., an organization of mothers whose sons and daughters died in the line of duty in the armed forces. In 1977 she became the first Vietnam-era national president of the organization and led 17,000 members in 525 chapters. She petitioned and received tax-exempt status for the organization's headquarters building in Washington, D.C. From 1976 through 1978, Mrs. Wilk was a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Gold Star Manor and was active with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. She wielded a shovel at the groundbreaking of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in 1982, and helped organize the memorial's dedication. For many years she served as a ward hostess in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Washington, D.C. She was a life member of both the Maryknights of the Knights of Columbus and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She also was very involved in St. Andrew Apostle Parish and School and Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. In 1999, due to worsening health, she left her Leisure World home and moved in with her son and daughter-in-law. In addition to her son Philip and daughter-in-law Heather, survivors include three sons, Eric G. Wilk and wife Barbara of Deal Island, Christopher A. Wilk and wife Susan of Jacksonville N.C., and Damian A. Wilk and wife Claire of Silver Spring; a brother, Leon Rajczewski; a sister, Genevieve Domagalski; and 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A burial mass was celebrated Nov. 19 at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church in Silver Spring. Burial followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill.
