LAST WILL and TESTAMENT of BENJAMIN SCHRIDER In the name of god Amen: I, Benjamin Schrider of Montgomery county, in the State of Maryland, being weak in body but of sound as disposing mind, memory and understanding, knowing the certanity (sic) of death and the uncertainty of the time therof, and being desirous of settling my wordly affairs and be thereby the better prepared to leave this world, when it shall please Almighty God to call me hence, I therefore make, ordain and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit: First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named, and after my debts, funeral charges etc are paid I divise give and bequeath as follows: I give, divise and bequeath to my sons Charles Albert Schrider and John Thomas Schrider and to my Daughter Margaret Emma Jarboe the sum of one dollar each. When said bequests are paid, I give, divise and bequeath to my wife Susannah Schrider all of my property, real, personal and mixed to use, enjoy, hold or dispose of at her pleasure during the remainder of her natural life, and at the expiration thereof, I give, divise and bequeath all that may or shall remain of said property undisposed of by her, to my sons and daughters namely: Benjamin F. Schrider, James Edward Schrider, Augustus Lewis Schrider, Thomas Henry Schrider, William Pinkney Schrider, Anna Elizabeth King, Elizabeth Lavinia McGuire and Susannah Schrider share and share alike. And lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Thomas Waters of S. of Takoma Park in The District of Columbia, sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this first day of March in the year nineteen hundred and one. On the 28th day of May 1901, came Thomas Waters of S.and made Oath in due form of law that he does not know of any Will or Codicil of Benjamin Schrider late of said County, deceased, other than the above Instrument of writing, and that he received the same from the Widow of said deceased, on the 27th day of May 1901. Dimmick John W. Hodges and Joseph B. Parsley all of the subscribing witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Benjamin Schrider late of Montgomery County, deceased, and in the presence of Almighty God, solemnly and truly declared that they were present and did see the Testator therein named, sign, and seal this Will, that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament, that at the time of his so doing he was, to the best of their apprehension, of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, and that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this Will in the presence of the Testator at his request, and all in the presence of each other.
