The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Transcript of will from Montgomery County Wills, Liber RWC 15, folio 267-268, as follows: Know all men by these presents that I, Obed Hurley of Montgomery County, state of Maryland, considering the uncertainty of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make, declare and publish this my last will and testament. First -- I give and bequeath to my daughter Addie C. King and James E. King my son-in-law of Montgomery County between three and four hundred dollars. And the said Addie C. King and James E. King are to pay out of the above named amount of money all of my funeral expenses and for placing tomb stones to my grave, and after all the above is paid for they are to keep the residue. As also one white and read (sic) horned cow, one feather bed and beding (sic), half dozen silver table spoons, tea silver, tea spoons, one wild cherry stand, one walnut candle stand, one wash stand, one poplar safe, one twenty-four hour clock, two looking glasses, one walnut chest, two trunks, half dozen stool bottom chairs ,and one rocking chair, one cook stove & fixtures, one ten plate stove and lot of pots, one leaf table, one tool chest and contents. Second - I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza A. Anderson the wife of C.T. Anderson of Montgomery County the family Bible. Third, and lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint James E. King my son-in-law to be my sole administrator of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.
