All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Patricia O'Connor p-oconnor@att.net March 27, 2006, 2:03 pm Source: Montgomery Md Wills & Accounts Liber B Written: April 8, 1783 From Montgomery MD Wills & Accounts Liber B p 118, 119 Maryland Sct Know all men by these presents that we Philip JENKINS, John DOWDEN & Ralph KNOTT are held and firmly bound unto Ann KNOTT in the full and just sum sixty pounds current money to be paid to the said Ann KNOTT her Heirs or assigns to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our Heirs Executors and administrators in the whole and for the whole jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 8th day of April Anno Domini 1783 The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Phillip JENKINS is by Montgomery County Orphans Court admitted Guardian to Ann KNOTT and orphan under the age of sixteen years. Now if the said Phillip JENKINS do Exercise the duties and functions of Guardian to said Ann KNOTT in every respect agreeable to the Acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided then the above obligation to be void and of no Effect otherwise to stand and remain in full force and virtue signed sealed and delivered Phillip JENKINS [seal] in presence of John DOWDEN [seal] S. TURNER Reg Raphael KNOTT [seal] __________________________________________________________________ Maryland Sct Know all men by these presents that we Phillip JENKINS, John DOWDEN and Ralph KNOTT are held and firmly bound unto Joseph KNOTT & Stephen KNOTT in the full and just sum of one hundred & eighty pounds current money to be paid to the said Joseph KNOTT & Stephen KNOTT their Heirs or assigns to the which payment well and truly to be made and don we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs Executors and administrators in the whole and for the whole jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 8th day of April Anno Domini 1783 The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Phillip JENKINS is by Montgomery County Orphans Court appointed Guardian to Joseph KNOTT & Stephen KNOTT orphans under the age of sixteen years.
