These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ Will of Alexander Pearre Sr. of Montgomery/Prince Georges County In the name of God amen I Alexander Pearre Sent- of Montgomery County in the State of Maryland, Planter< being weak of Body but of Sound and Disposing mind and understanding and knowing the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being Desirous of setling my worldly affairs that I may thereby be the better prepared to leave the world when it Shall Please God to call me hence do make, and Ordain and publish this my lasr Will and Testament in manner and form following- First and Principally I Recommend wry to bee Buried in A Decent Christian like manner by my Executors here-after Named and Offer my Just Debts and Funerall Charges are paid I give Devise and bequeath as Follows - Item. I give and bequeath to my Beloved son Alexander Pearre, the Plantation Whereon I Do now live Called Rome with all the land I possess in this county or State, togethar With all the houses, Gardens Orchards and Improvements of Every Kind to be Possessed and Injoyed by him and brothers for Ever I also give and Bequeath to my said Son Alexander Pearre my Gun, my Desk , my looking Glass and armed chear as also my Plantation tools and Utensills of Every Kind and Description Including my wagon with all its harness and Gears and it is my Will and Desire that the above Mentioned Furniture Utensills and tools and Waggon be not put in the inventory of my Estate, but that they remain and continue Alexanders own property- 2 Item. It is my Will and Desire that all the Rest and Residue of my Estate Except Such Articles as in before Excepted Consisting of my Negroes horses cattle sheep and hogs and household furniture be Appraised and Equally Divided- among all my Children that is to say to- Joshua Pearre, James Pearre, Alexander Pearre and Eleanor or Nelly Arnold Wife of David Arnold, Nancy Arnold wife of Peter Arnold have and share of Equal I part With my Sons their brothers- and lastly I Do hereby Disallow Revoke and make, Void all and Every Other and Former Wills and testaments by mee made Ratifying and Confirming this and none Other to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness Whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seall this twenty forth Day of December In the Year of Lord One Thousand Eight hundred Signed Sealled and Ackolledged by Alexander Pearre…[?] to be his last Will and testment Alexander Pearre Senr In Presents of William Murphy Joseph Benton Junior [?] John White Liber 2, Pages 41-42, Montgomery County, Maryland
