The will and inventory of Margaret Roberts from LDS Film # 14,232 Montgomery Co MD Wills 1802-1810 WILL OF BILLINGSLY ROBERTS IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Billingsly Roberts of Montgomery County and State of Maryland being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. That is to say: First my body I recommend to the earth to be decently buried in a Christian like and decent manner and after my just debts are paid, I give, devise and dispose of all the rest of my estate both real and personal in the manner and for following, to with: I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Roberts thirty five pounds current money to be lodged in the hands of John Hawkins and to his care till my son Richard returns from Kentucky and in case he should never return then to his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my sons Richard and John Roberts all that parcel or tract of land lying on the north fork of Holsons (?) River containing three hundred acres and known by the name of Camels Choice together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to be equally divided between them and their heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my loving wife the plantation whereon I now live together with a lease since obtained of Bene Dulany Esquire formerly the property of William Davis by a lease with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to her and her heirs during the time they are leased for. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Duley one shilling sterling and it is my desire she should have no more of my estate having made provision for her already. I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Sanbrage (?) one shilling sterling and it is my desire she should have no more of my estate having made provision for her already. I give and bequeath unto my loving wife one third tract of my personal estate as also all provisions such as corn, wheat and meat as much as shall be adjudged necessary for her families use till she makes a crop, to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath the other two thirds of my personal estate to be equally divided amongst my children namely Richard Roberts, Eleanor Roberts, John Roberts, Sarah Benton, Cassandra Roberts, Henry Roberts, Joseph Roberts, Mary Roberts, James Roberts, and William Roberts to them and their heirs forever. And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my loving wife and my son John Roberts executors of this my last will and testament revoking and disannulling all former wills by me heretofore made, confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. The first wife and mother of his chidren was Betty Manen. They were married 2 Nov 1758 in Baltimore. That info came from GRS Files.
