I William WILLETT of Montgomery County and state of Maryland being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for it and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Well and Testament in form following that is to say: I give and recommend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors and touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I will and Bequeath in manner and form following that is to say In the first Place, I will and bequeath to my son Edward WILLETT all my lands, that is to say half of a tract of Land called Scotlald containing Sixty acres and half a tract of Land called the Addition to Scotland containing Thirty six and a half acres and part of the Resurvey on Black oak thicket containing Forty six acres and three fourths of an acre and a servant man named Daniel NOLEN and one Horse of a dark bay colour called Jack to belong to him and his Heirs forever and all the rest of my Personal Estate. I will first for my Debts to be paid and the rest equally Divided amongst my six other children I also make and ordain my son Edward WILLETT and Brother Ninian WILLETT my only and sole executors of this my last will and Testament and I do hereby utterly Disallow Revoke and Disannul all and every other former Testament and Wills by me in any ways before named Willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighth of February One thousand seven Hundred and Eighty five Witness William WILLETT [seal] Leonard ROBINSON William G. CHAMBERS & William TRACEY two of the subscribing Witnesses to the within Last Will and Testament of William WILLETT late of said County deceased and severally made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they did see the Testator herein named sign and seal this will and that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament and that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind & memory and understanding and that they and Leonard ROBINSON the other subscribing Witness to this Will respectively subscribed their names to this will as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the Testator and in the presence of each other.
