She was 84. Haynes had been a resident of Laurel for four years. She previously resided in Silver Spring. Sons David, Roger and Stephen Haynes, brothers Abel Winfield Dahlgran and Harold Robert Dahlgran, and grandchildren Joshua, Caleb, Esther and Ryan Haynes survive her. Her husband Chester St. George Haynes preceded her in death. The couple was married June 12, 1947. She was born Oct. 22, 1917 in Riverton, Iowa, and was a graduate of Peru State Teachers College in Nebraska. Haynes also took graduate courses at George Washington University. She was involved in the USO and was a leader with the Montgomery County 4-H Club. She was a member of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where she was involved with the children's story hour. Services were held at the church Jan. 15 with the Rev. Robert Myers officiating. A burial service was held Jan. 16 at Arlington National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Westminster Theological Seminary, P.O. Box 27009, Philadelphia, PA 19118. Charles T. Duvall Charles T. Duvall of Laurel died Jan. 11 at Laurel Regional Hospital. He was 80. Sons Mark and Thomas Duvall survive him. His wife Adele T. Duvall preceded him in death. Duvall was born March 1, 1921 in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Services were held Jan. 15 at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel with the Rev. V. James Lockman officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary of the Mills Cemetery in Laurel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Prince George's County, P.O. George Timothy Whitehead George Timothy Whitehead, formerly of Laurel, died Jan. 4 at his home in Bradenton, Fla. He was 56. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, daughter Kimberlee Mantici of Columbia and one grandson. He is also survived by brothers Edward Whitehead of Manhatten Beach, Calif., Bob Whitehead of Front Royal, Va., and Allen Whitehead of New York, N.Y., father Ray Whitehead, step mother Isabel Whitehead and step father Harry Brady. His mother, Elizabeth Brady, preceded him in death. Whitehead was born April 18, 1945 in Cheverly. He graduated from Bladensburg High School and worked for Pepco as an electrician for 35 years. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard, the American Legion, the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police and the Moose Lodge in Bradenton, Fla. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 2 at St. Philips Episcopal Church, where Whitehead was a member. The church is located at Sixth and Main streets in Laurel.
