      In the name of God Amen.  I Charles Fenley of Prince Georges County in the 
state of Maryland being in a week and low condition but of sound and perfict 
mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and 
form following that is to say First I recommend my Soul to the mercy of Almighty 
God and as to my Temporal Estate I give and dispose thereof as followeth  I give 
and bequeath to my Son Charles B Fenley one Negro Boy named Jack and his Heirs 
for ever as also one Bed & furnature and one Cow and Calf. I give and bequeath 
to my Son William Fenley one Negro Boy named Harry one Bed and furnature and a 
Cow & Calf I give and bequeath to my Son John B Fenley one Negro Boy named 
George and one Cow & Calf   I give and bequeath to my Daughter Martha Fenley one 
Negroe Girl named Jean one Bed & furnature and one Cow & Calf. I give and 
bequeath to my Son Thomas Fenley one Negro Boy named Jack one Bed & furnature 
and one Cow & Calf I give and bequeath to my Son James Fenley one Negroe Girl 
named Cassey one Bed and furnater and one Cow & Calf  I give and bequeath to my 
Daughter Mary Fenley one Negroe Girl named Jenny one Bed and furnater and one 
Cow & Calf   my will is that the Tract of Land William Bayne and myself 
purchased in Virginia and which Tract I have said Baynes Bond for Conveying one 
half of to me my Heirs Executors or assigns be sold and the money arising I give 
to my Son Charles B Fenley  The remaining part of my Estate I give to my beloved 
wife Martha during her widowhood or life which should first happen and then to 
be equally divided amongst my Children  Charles B Fenley  William Fenley  John B 
Fenley  Martha Fenley  Thomas Fenley  James Fenley and Mary Fenley  Ann Boswell 
& a childs part to be equally divided amongst my Deceased Son Walters Children
      I leave Messers.  William Bayne  Charles B Fenley and James Hawkins 
Trustees to prevent any waste being committed on my Estate   Lastly, I nominate 
and appoint my beloved wife Martha and my Son Thomas Fenley my Executrix and 
Executor to this my last will and Testament   Revoking and making null and void 
all other will or wills 
by me heretofore made   In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my 
seal this twentieth day of December one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five

      Signed Sealed published and declared by the Testator to be his last will 
and Testament in presence of us who Subscribed as evidence thereto in the 
presence of each other and in the presence of the Testator

      On the back of which will was written:  Prince Georges County to wit 
February 14th 1786 Came John Bayne & Zachariah M Wade two of the Subscribing 
witnesses to the within last will and Testament of Charles Fenley late of said 
County deceased and Severally made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God 
that they did [see the?] 
      Testator therein named Sign and Seal this will and heard him publish 
pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and Testament that at the 
time of his so doing he was to the best of their Apprehension of sound and 
disposing mind and understanding and that they together with John Addison the 
other Witness respectively Subscribed their names as Witnesses to this will in 
the presence and at the request of the Testator and in the presence of each 
other
