Will reads as follows: In the name of God Amen I, Martha Greenfield of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Widow, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of life, do make my las Will and Testament in manner and form following vz. Imp -- I recommend my soul to Almighty God hoping for pardon of my sins and deeming my body may be buried in a decent (not pompous) manner at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named & my estate disposed of as follows, vizt. Item -- I give to my dear daughter Anne Wight one negro boy named Nedd, provided she the said Anne Wight immediately after my decease give the said negro boy Nedd unto my grandson Thos. Truman Greenfield. Item -- I give to my grandson Walter Truman Greenfield one molatto boy named Meshack. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Sabina Truman Greenfield one silver spoon. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Sarah Greenfield on feather bed bolster, & pillows with curtains & vallens, Rugg & Blanketts standing in my Chamber & two ewes & lambs. Item -- I give to my dear daughter Ann Wight one malatto boy named Sam provided she the said Ann Wight immediately after my decease give the said malatto boy Sam unto my grandson Thomas Greenfield son of Truman Greenfield. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Elizabeth Greenfield one silver spoon. Item - I give to my grandson George Parker one malatto boy named Abednegoe. Item -- I give to my dear daughter Martha Waring one Negro boy named Leander & a malatto girl named Tyana, one turkey leather trunk marked M. G. & a Silk quilt provided my said daughter Waring give her daughter Martha Burgis the abovesd. mallatto girl called Tyana. Item -- I give to my dear daughter Ann Wight one negro woman named Juno & her child named Kate & one mallatto girl named Nell & one negro boy named Robin, provided always & it is my Will that my grand-daughter Innocence Wight have the first child that is born of the said Juno after my decease & my grandson Isle of Wight (?!) have the second & my grand-daughter Ann Wight have the third child that is born of the sd Juno after my decease. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Innocence Wightt my feather bed & furniture with curtains & vallens altogether as it stands in my lower room as also two ewes & lambs. Item -- I give to my dear daughter Jane Hawkins one negro woman named Pegg & one negro boy named Charles, one negro woman named Maria & one malatto boy named Shadrack. on condition that my son-in-law Mr. Henry Hawkins pay unto my niece Mrs. Margery Gantt sixteen pounds in silver or gold which I owe to my said niece. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Martha Hawkins two cows & calves & a small oval table. Item -- I give to my grandson Francis Waring one negro boy named Jack the son of Juno, and one draft horse called Tucham. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Mary Taylor one negro boy named Frank, provided she the said Mary Taylor give the said negro boy Frank to her daughter Verlinder Taylor. Item -- I give to my grand-daughter Verlinder Taylor the first colt that my young mare brings. Item -- I give to my grandson Garratt Truman Greenfield all that tract of land lying in P.G. Co. called the Golden Race, quantity 200 acres to him & his heirs for ever, I having been already payd for it by my son Thos. Truman Greenfield but not made over to him. Item -- My will is that my Extrs. hereafter named or either of them do with all convenient speed after my decease sell & convey a parcell of land part of a tract of land caled Dunnbar lying near Mills Town given me by my decease husband which he purchased of William Mills and also a lot of land in said town purchased by my said husband of William Watson & by my said husband's will devised to me and the money arrising by such sale I will have applyed towards the discharge of my just debts & hereby devise to the purchaser or purchasers of the same all my estate in the said parcell & lott of land to him or them his or their heirs & assigns for ever. Lastly -- I make constitute and appoint my loving son-in-law Mr. Henry Holland Hawkins my dear daughter Martha Waring & Ann Wight Executor & Executrixes of this my last Will & testament, & in case of their Refusall I appoint my grandsons Francis Waring, Thos. Truman Greenfield, & George Parker to be my Executors. & my dutifull nephew Mr. Leonard Hollyday & my well-beloved friend Mr. Thomas Gantt to be trustees of this my last Will & Testament & hereby revoke & make void all other Wills by me heretofore made.
