She therefore prays your Honors will grant her permission to sell the same or ____________thereof as may be sufficient to discharge his just debts on such terms as to your Hands may seem calculated to promote Justice Trueman Tyler for Petitioner Mr. Iclehart's Estate The debts must be ascertained as nearly as possible adding the Interest for twelve months after the date of the letters of Administration. Then add ten per cent and deduct the amounts of the clear (emphasis) property on hand. This will leave a balance which must be satisfied out of the sale of the Negroes. When this is done, the remainder of the Negroes are to be divided (emphasis) or sold (emphasis) as may be agreed on. As she has not settled an amount with the orphan's court the only difficulty will be on this score. But as it is probable it will be agreed that all the Negroes be sold, this settlement can be accurately made hereafter when the whole amount of the Estate is known. I am obliged to go to the Poplar Springs tomorrow 50 miles from hence, or I would attend the sale & give any assistance in my power. G.
