Mary "M" Offutt {seal} [note the "M" is her mark. Signed, sealed and acknowledged and declared to be her last will and testament in the presence of Richard Burgess John Brown Brazier Thomas Shreve. On the back of this will was endorsed to wit: On the 11th of Sept. 1748 came before me the subscriber Richard Burgess being of the people called Quakers solemnly affirmed and declared and John Brown Brazier and Thomas Shreve made oath on the Holy Evangelists and Almighty God being the three subscribing witnesses of the within will do depose and say that they saw the testatrix Mary Offutt sign the same will and heard her publish and declare it to be her last will and testament, that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory and they did subscribe their respective names as witnesses to the within will in the presence of the testatrix and at her request. Affirmed and sworn before me. D. Dulany, Comr. Note by this transcriber - all of the children are the same as mentioned in the will of William Offutt in 1732 with the exception of the youngest son Thomas Offutt - leaving the strong possibility that he died without children before his mother wrote her will.
