Imprimus I give and Bequeath my Soul to the Almighty God who gave it (to) me and my Bod to be decently Interred at the discretion of my Loving wife and Executrix. Item I give and bequeath to my loving Grandson Leonard Piles Son of Francis Piles all my Real Estate being part of two Tracts of Land called Cuckolds Point and part of Brook Hill Containing one hundred and Twenty Acres of Land less or more after the decease of my loving wife. Item I give and Bequeath to my Loving wife all my Real and Personal Estate during her Natural Life in case she should not intermarry with another. Item I give to my Beloved Son Francis Piles one Negro man named Harry. Item I give and Bequeath the rest of my Personal Estate to be equally divided among my loving Children namely Francis Piles Ann Townshend Elizabeth Drane Martha Harvey Eleanor Berry Lucy Smith Leonar (sic) Piles Rebecca Piles and Elizabeth Piles the younger. Item I do Constitute and appoint my Loving wife to be my Sole and whole Executrix. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this nineteenth Day of March Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and Seventy Three. Hugh Lyon Gracy Lyon and Sarah Wilson the three subscribing witnesses to the within ____ (corner torn) and Severally made Oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they ____ ___ (torn & folded) Leonard Piles the Testator therein named Sign Seal publish pronounce & Declare the same to be his Last Will & Testament and that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding and that they did sign their names as witnesses to the said ____ (torn & folded) in the presence and at the Request of the Testator and in the presence of each other.
