I, William Selby of Prince Georges Co, in the province of Maryland, planter, being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same, do make this my last Will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, First and principally I commend my soul to Almight God who gave it me and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently interred according to the desiration of my executrix hereafter named. And as concerning my temporal estate with which it has pleased God to bless me with I dispose of the same in manner and form following that is to say: I give and bequeath to my son William Magruder Selby two hundred acres of land, part of the tract I bought of Mr. Joseph Chew called Chews Folly laying situate and being on the fork of the Eastern branch in Prince George Co. aforesaid to him his heirs and designs. forever. Item: I give and bequeath the remaining part of the said tract of land called Chews Folly being one hundred and eighty four acres to my daughters Sarah and Susannah Selby to be equally divided between them and in case of either of their decease the survivor to enoy the whole but in case of both of their decease the same to descend to my son William Magruder Selby his heirs and assigns forever. Provided they dye without isse. Item: I give and bequeath to my son, Samuel Selby, two hundred acres of land part of the tract I now live on called Leith to be laid out at the West part thereof by a line drawn cross the land so as to include the improvements that have been made on that part thereof to him and his heirs forever. But in case of his decease without issue the same ot be equaly divided between my sons Joseph, Thomas and John Selby and to remain to them and their heirs forever and in case of either of their decease the land to be divided between the survivors. Item: I give and bequeth to my son Joseph Selby one hundred acres of land part of the aforesaid tract of land called Leith to be laid out between the upper and lower parts thereof by a line drawn cross the land to him and hie heirs forever. But in case of his decease without issue th same to be equally divided between my sons Thomas and John Selby to them and their heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my son John Selby two hundred acres of land the remaining part of the tract called Leith lying next Patuxant River being that part whereon I now dwell to him and his heirs forever he permitting his mother my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Selby peaceablye and quietly to possess and enjoy the same during her natural life with the improvements thereon provided there be no waste and distruvyion (sic) by her or an order made of any part thereof but in case of his decease without issue the same to be divided between my sons Joseph and Thomas Selby to them and their heirs forever, they permitting their mother the liberty aforementioned. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Selby all that tract or parcel of land called Ossax (sic) Lodge adjoining to the land I now live on and containing one hundred and fifty acres to him and his heirs forever. But in case of his decease without issue the same to be equally divided between my sons Joseph and John Selby and to remain to them their heirs and assigns forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Nathan Selby all that tract of land called Toogood lying inthe West side of Patuxant River in the woods the same which I formerly bought of my brother Samuel Selby to him the said Nathan his heirs and assigns forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Samuel Selby one feather bed and furniture and one iron pott to be deliverd to him when my executor shall be requested thereto. Item: I appoint my loving wife Elizabeth Selby full and sole executric of this my last will and testament. Lastly I appoint my friends ... Magruder and Thomas Hodgkin trustees to see this my last will and testament executed according to the tenor and effect thereof desiring of them to suffer no waste to my children or dividend of my estate but on the contrary to take them and the same unto their possession for the benefit of my said children in testimony of every part hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of October within the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty two hereby revoking disannulling and making void all former and other wills and bequeasts by me heretofore made and acknowledging this and none other to be my last will and testament.
