In the name of God Amen
I Abraham Simmons of Anne Arundell County and State of Maryland do make and 
ordain this my Last will and Testament and first I bequeath to Almighty God my 
immortal Soul Hoping through the merits of Jesus Christ to obtain Everlasting 
salvation
Item.  I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Prissilla Simmons one half of 
my personal estate in every kind whatsoever after all my just debts are paid.
Item.  My will and desire is that all the rest and residue of my estate be 
equyally divided amongst my children share and share alike.
And last of all I consitute and appoint my beloved wife Priscilla Simmons my 
whole and sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of January seventeen 
hundred and eighty two.

Additional Comments:
Abraham Simmons & Priscilla Lyles were married in St. James Parish, Anne 
Arundel Co. on December 19, 1773 (AACR:17)  The births of their children were 
also recorded in the records of St. James Parish: Thomas Tillard Simmons b. 
Jan 19, 1775; William West Simmons b. Aug 19, 1776, Elinor Simmons b. Oct 20, 
1778 and Sarah Simmons b. Oct 16, 1779.
Lawsuit bearing the caption as follows establishes this Abraham as the son of 
Abraham Simmons & Sarah Drury (who later married Abel Hill Jr.)
