I, Nehemiah Stone, of Prince George's County, in the State of Maryland, being weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding considering the certainty of death and this uncertainty of time there of and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please god to call me home, make and publish, this my last will and testament, in a manner and form following, that is today first and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor, thereafter my debts and funeral charges are paid, I devise and bequeath as follows: Whence, I give and devise unto my niece Mary Margaret Darsey, wife of William Darsey, of Uniontown, in the District of Columbia in fee simple, house and lot located in Uniontown and being of Jefferson St., being the east house of three, purchased by me from Zachariah Heager and wife. Whence, I give and devise unto Clara Darsey, daughter of William and Mary Darsey, house and lot adjoining house and lot above bequeathed to Mary M. Darsey, in fee simple. Whence, I give and devise unto Ann M. Stone, wife of Christopher Stone, during her natural life, house and lot located in Uniontown DC, adjoining house and lot bequeathed to Clara Dorsey, and adjoining Mrs. Magill. Also ten acres of land to the said Ann M. Stone, to be selected by her from any part of the track of land called "Good Luck" _____ and being in Prince Georges County and State of Maryland, purchased by me at trustees sale from C.C. Mcgruder, Jr, and from and after the decease of the said Ann M. Stone, I devise the aforesaid house and lot in Uniontown DC and the aforesaid ten acres of land in Prince Georges County unto Ida S. and Kate A. Stone, children of Christopher and Ann M. Stone in fee simple. Whence, I leave in the hand of my executor hereinafter named, the sum of one hundred dollars, to be used and expended in my said executors discretion for clothing or otherwise, for the benefit of _____ Gray, son of E_____ Gray. Whence I give, devise, and bequeath all the ____ and residue of my estate, both ______ and personal to be equally divided in equal portions, share and share alike, among Mary J. Chaney, Alice V. Farr, Sarah King, Amelia V. Stone, children of Christopher and Ann M. Stone; GeorgeAnn Lowe, Josephine Shields, and Bettie Webster, children of George B. Stone, deceased, and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Thomas R. Brooks to be sole executor of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made satisfying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. He is buried, along with his brother Christopher Stone, at St. Matthews at Addison Chapel in Prince Georges County, MD. The Mary Margaret Darsey, mentioned in the will, is my great-great grandmother.
