Mrs. Boyer was born July 2d, 1843, near Kenton, Del. She was the daughter of George and Hester Number Moffet. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Frank Wallace, and three grand children. Mrs. Boyer was a devout christian and an active worker in the Methodist Church, of which she had been a member since early youth. Her life was spent in doing good for others. There are a few families, if any, in her community who do not call her blessed. Her words of comfort and sympathy and her loving acts of kindness will long be remembered. Funeral services were held at her late residence, Rev. W. O. Bennett, her pastor, officiating. Interment was made in Sudlersville cemetery. The pall bearers were her two brothers, George and Alex Moffet, and her nephews, William and David Stayton, of New York, John Wollnenden and Daniel Dooley, of Philadelphia.
