I Peter Countiss of Queen Anns County Planter being sick and weak of Body but of Perfect and sound mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same and Calling to mind the Certainty of death and the uncertainty of this Life do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz: Imprs.: I give my Soul unto God who gave it me hoping through the Merits of my blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ for a Blessed Resurrection and as for my worldly goods which it Pleased God to bestow on me I give as follows, First I give unto my son James Countiss one tract of Land called Hawkins Farm whereon I now live and one tract of Land which my Father bought of Robert Smith Esquire Containing Seventy Acres who two Tracts of Land I give unto my Son James and the heirs of his Body lawfully begotten forever I likewise give my Son James my hand Mill and one young Mare and no more, and as for the Remaining Part of my Estate my Will is that it be equally divided as the Law directs between my Wife and my other Children and Lastly I Constitute and appoint my beloved Wife my whole and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Revoking and do make void all other Wills by me heretofore made.
