I James Wrench of Queen Ann's County, in the province of Maryland, Planter, being of perfect and sound of mind and memory, thanks be to almightly God, do make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in the manner and form following that is today -- Imprs. I give my soul into the hands of God my creator, hoping for Salvation, in and through the merits of my mercifull Redeemer Jesus Christ, and my Body unto Christian burial -- Item. I give unto my beloved wife Elisabeth Wrench the half of my Dwelling Plantation and Land called Wrenches Adventure, containing one hundred and thirty six acres during her natural life, and likewise the third of my personall Estate, after my Just Debts and funerall charges are paid -- Item. I give unto my Son Richard Jones Wrench the other half of my Plantation and Land called Wrenches Adventure, and after my wifes Decease, I give my said Son Richard Jones Wrench all my Dwelling plantation and Land called Wrenches Adventure to him and his heirs forever. -- Item. I give unto my Son James Wrench, my Plantation and Land called Wrenches Farm containing two hundred acres to him and his heirs forever -- Item. My will is that after my just Debts and funerall Charges are paid that the Remaining part of my Personall Estate be Equally Divided between my four children, Richard Jones Wrench, James Wrench, Sarah Wrench, and Elisabeth Wrench -- And Lastly, I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Elisabeth Wrench my hole and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, Revoking and Disannuling and making voyd all former Will or Wills, Testaments or any other writing whatsoever in Law or Equity and making good -- This my Last Will and Testament and not other. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and affixed my Seale this thirtieth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty or fifty one. This 16th May 1751 William Wrench, William Meridith and Jeremiah Smith The subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing will being duly and Solemnly Sworn on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, do depose and say, That they saw the Testator James Wrench sign the same Will and heard him publish and declare it to be his last Will and Testament. That at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory and that they did subscribe their respective name and marks as witnesses to the said Will in the presence of the said Testator and at his Request -- Sworn before me Wm.
