Will of Rachel Wright, 1810, RW:1:150, Queen Anne's County,
Maryland
 
10th Sept 1810
27th Oct 1810
 
To daughter Nancy and son William, my farm or plantation called
"Corsica - - -" now in the tenure of James Smith lying on Corsica Creek,
equally as tenants in common subject to payment of a mortgage
principal and interest given on the said estate by the late William
Bordlay to a certain James Price.
 
To daughter Charlotte Spencer, plantation farm called "Bishop Fields"
with the resurvey or addition to the same made by my late husband
Thomas Wright.
 
To son William my plantation or distribution of my late son Clayton's
estate, principal and interest.
 
Remainder of personal property to be sold and after my just debts are
discharged - to John E. Spencer six hundred dollars to be laid out in
bank stock for the use of my granddaughter, Charlotte Ann Spencer -
to her at age of 21.
 
To daughter Nancy, 2 Negroes Vin and Charles, etc.
 
To granddaughter C.A. Spencer, Negro girl Eliza.
 
To daughter Charlotte, Negro boy Nicolas, also horses and carriages.
 
To grandson Thomas Wright, Negro boy Ben.
 
To grandson Thomas E. Spencer, Negro boy Thomas - - - (Acco?).
 
To grandson Clayton Wright, Negro boy Augustus.
 
Executor to hire out Negro man - - - - (Ione?) for space of eight years
and pay annually to J.E. Spencer the amount of said hire - to be applied
to the education of granddaughter C.A. Spencer.
 
Residue of personal estate to be divided equally between my children.
