I Anne Prior of Somerset County and in the Province of Maryland being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind memory thanks be to Almighty God for it and as for my Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I give & bequest as follows Imprimis I give and bequeath all my right and title of that tract or parcel of Land called Mates Enjoyment unto my dutiful son Randolph and to his heirs assign forever and also all my right and title of one other tract or parcel of Land called Conclusion I also give and bequeath unto my dutiful son Randolph Prior and to his heirs and assign forever.~ Item I give and bequeath my Negro woman named Lucy to my dutiful son David and to his heirs forever~ Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute appoint and ordain my dutiful son Randolph Prior to be my whole and sole executor of this my last will and Testament and do hereby revoke disannul and disavow of any other Will or Wills Testament Testaments heretofore made by me ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 19th day of December Anno Domini 1772. Signed sealed published declared Anne X Prior [seal] and pronounced by the said Anne Prior to be her last Will & Testament in the presence of us S Wheatly Samuel Trahern William Lankford On the back of the foregoing will was thus written Viz On the 26th day of January 1773 came Sampson Wheatly and made oath the the within Instrument of writing is the true and only will and Testament of Anne Prior late of Somerset County deceased that hath come to his hand possessions or knowledge and that he did not know or ever heard of any other Sworn before Thoma Holbrook D Comm of Somerset County On the 26th day of January 1773 came Sampson Wheatly, Samuel Trehearn & Willliam Lankford the three subscribing witnesses and made oath on the holy Evangelist of almighty God that they did see the testator Ann Prior sign and seal the within Will and hear her publish pronounce and declare the same to be her last Will and Testament and at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehension of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding and that they subscribe their names as witnesses to the said will in the presence of the said Testator 3 sides Sworn before Thomas Holbrook Dep Comm of Somerset County Examined -- ~~~~ bethj@hvision.nl~~~~ © 1998 Beth Johnson
