That is to say First and principally I commint my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor herein after named and after my debts and Funeral Charges are paid and Satisfied I devise and bequeath as follows. Imp. I give unto SARAH DIXON FURNISS, wife of THOMAS FURNISS after my decease during her natural life all my lands to wit my dwelling plantation with all houses Orchards and Improvements whatsoever where on I now lived called Dixons Choice Enlarged, Containing two hundred and Sixteen acres more or less, Boston Town thirty acres, Dixons Adition forty five acres, Neighbours Content three acres and a half Quarter of an acre more or less all the above mentioned Lands and Marsh after my decease to be the property of Sarah Dixon Furniss during her natural life as aforesaid. Item I give and bequeath after my decease and SARAH DIXON FURNISS’s decease all the above mentioned Lands and Marshes to WILLIAM FURNISS son of Thomas Furniss and to his heirs lawfully begotten of ho body for Ever, and if he dies without heir to JAMES FURNISS and his heirs forever and if he dies without heir to NANCY FURNISS and her heirs forever and if she dies without heir to Thomas Furniss of Thomas and his heirs forever and if he dies without heir to JOHN FURNISS and his heirs for Ever. Item I leave after my decease to SARAH p. 357: DIXON FURNISS one Negro named Pomp and one named Peter during her natural life and after her decease to WILLIAM FURNISS and also my … and … to him the said WILLIAM FURNISS and his heirs. Item I Give and bequeath to SARAH DIXON FURNISS after my decease one negro named Patience and all her Increase to her and her heirs fore Ever. Item I Give and bequeath to SAMUEL TAYLOR one… Calf and one Sow and 6 pigs to him and his heris for Ever. Item I Give and bequeath to LEAH TAYLOR should she be the longest lived Thirty Pounds … to … out of my Personal Estate to her and her heirs forever. Item I give to my Negro Pomp my largest Great Coat. Item I Give and bequeath after my decease all the remaining … of my Estate to SARAH DIXON FURNISS all my cattle Hoggs Sheep and all my household Goods and chattels to her and her heirs for Ever. Finally I do hereby constitute and appoint my Trusty friend THOMAS FURNISS to be whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and annulling all former Wills by me heretofore made ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of September anno Dom Seventeen Hundred Ninety & four Thomas Dixon Seal Signed sealed Published & declared by Thomas Dixon the above named Testaor for his last Will & Testament in the presence of us who at his request & in his presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto William Turpin Thomas Marshall Wm Moore January 27th day 1796 Then came Thomas Furniss& made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that the within instrument of writing is the true & whole last Will & Testament of Thomas Dixon late of Somrset County deceased that hath come to his hands possession or knowledge and that he doth not know of any other before Esme Bayly Regr WSC January the 27th day 1795 Then came William Turpin Thomas Marshall & William Moore the subscribing Witnesses to the within last Will & Testament of Thomas Dixon late of Somerset County deceased & severally made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almightie God that they did see the Testaor within named sign & seal the winthin will & that they heard him publish pronounce & declare the same to be his last Will & Testament & that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of each of their apprehensions of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding & that they did respectively subscribe their names as Witnesses to the Same in the presence & and the request of the Testator & in the presence of each other before me Esme Bayly Regr WSC Recorded in Liber EB, folios 356, 357 & 358 Test Esme Bayly Regr WSC Additional Comments: This is Thomas Dixon, son of Thomas (m.
