I of ye county of Somerset & in ye province of Maryland being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect mery (memory) thanks be to God. I do make & ordain this this my last will & testament in manner and form following. First I bequeath my soul to God that gave it me and my body to ye Earth from whence it came and to have a decent and Christian like buryall at ye discretion of my of my Executor and Executrix here after named as for my temporal estate such as God Almight have been pleased to bestow upon me I give and bequeath as followeth. Inprimis Item I do leave and bequeath to my son Nicholas Fountain my now dwelling Plantation to him and his maile heirs lawfully begotten of his own body my wife Mary Fountain to have a living upon it during her widdowhood. I leave and bequeath to my son Samuel Fountain all that parsell of land as I bought of John Davis called Barros Lott containing one hundred & thirty acres to him and his maile heirs lawfully begotten of his one body. Mary Fountain widow of John Fountain to have a living upon it during her widdowhood further I leave and bequeath to my son Samuel Fountain two tracts of land & marsh lying upon ye south side of Manokin river as by patten will appear ye one called Newfoundland & ye other called Fishing Island to him and his maile heirds lawfully begotten of his one body my wife Mary Fountain to have priveledge to drive what creatures she shall want to keep there during her widowhood and likewise Mary Fountain widow to have liberty to put ten head of cattel during her widowhood further tis my will that all my lands that I have given my sons Nicholas and Samuel shall never be sold not mortgaged during life but maile heirs to injoy it for ever. I leave to my loving wife Mary Fountain my two negro fellows Hargales and Mary during her widowhood and after her widowhood to my son Samuel Fountain to have Hargales and Thomas Fountain tmy son to have Mary to them and their heirs for ever. I leave and bequeath to my loving wife my Molatto called Ross during her live and after her decease my daughter Brichett to have her likewise I leave & bequeath to my loving wife Mary Fountain one best feather and furniture. I leave to my son Samuel ffountain my bigest iron kittle and my one chest and all carpenters tools and my shoemakers tools and crosscut saw and one pair of hand mill stones & fraim at Mary Fountains widow and shee to have ye use of the mill during her widowhood. I leave & bequeath to my son Thomas Fountain one good feather bed and furniture one spade mauir and one gun and one cittle large and my coopers tools and all my wearing close. I leave to my daughter Brichett Fountain my small trunk and twenty shillings in money. I leave to my loving wife Mary Fountain ye third part of all my moveables yt I have not given and ye other two parts to all my children and my grandson Risden Fountain and to be equal divided amongst them it tis my will that my two youngest children Baly & Estar Fountain should injoy what their mother has if she die a widow.
