William Bretton sayth uppon oath, tht he was prnt when Robt Tuttey made his last will & c: & signed it wth his owne hand; & tht the will exhibited by Wilm Tompson aforesd is the right will. Thomas Jackson being allso prnt att the same time, deposeth the same The will being proued by the testimonies aforesd the ds Willm Tompson desyres to be admitted to enter uppon the esate of Robt Tuttey as Exequutor & to haue granted vnto him Lres of admistraon of all the Lands, debts goods & chattells wthin this Prouince, belonging unto the sd Robt Tuttey. Ordered by the Gouernor tht the sd Willm Tompson shall haue lres of admistraon of all the debts, lands, goods & chattells belonging to Robt Tuttey aforesd granted unto him forthwth June 15th 1647. June 21th In the name of god. Amen & C: I Robt Tuttey of New-Towne doe ordaine my last will & Testamt in manner following. Viz I bequeath my soule into the hand of my Creator hoping to be saued by his death & passion, My body to the earth to be decently buried. And of tht wordly estate, giue & bequeath in this manner Impr All tht Tob: wch Mr Tompson oweth mee, wch is about 1200l I freely giue vnto him. It. One Cow, 1 steere, & yeareling calfe, I desyre shall be equally deuided betwixt the foresd Mr Tompson, & Joseph Cadell. It. One yeareling heyfer (wch I bought of James Johnson) I doe giue to Mr Tompson's child. It. My bed I giue to Mr. Tompson. It. My hogs to be diuided betwixt Mr Tompson, & Joseph as aforesd only one yowng sow to be gyuen to Phillip Awther. It. That Tob: wch Joseph Cadell oweth mee, wch is about 800l I doe bequeath unto him. Only my will is tht he satisfy out of it, what I owe to Edward Smithson in Virginea, wch is under a hogshead, the iust summe I know not. It. My debts I desyre should be payd wch I owe Viz to walter Beane 100l & to Ralph Beane the like quanty or there- abouts, & other debts to be payd betwixt both my Exequutors It. One old suite of cloathes I doe giue to Matthias Briant. It. That Crop of mine in the grownd my Exequutrs to dispose of.
