WITNESSETH THAT IN CONSIDERATION OF THE SUM OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR WHICH SUM WE SOLD ON THE 25TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1865, A CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING IN THE FACTORY DISTRICT OF ST MARY’S CO. NEAR POPLAR HILL CHURCH COMMONLY CALLED AND KNOWN AND BY THE NAME OF BENNETT’S DELIGHT CONTAINING FIFTY ACRES MORE OR LESS. SAID BISCOE ADAMS AND SARAH JANE ADAMS HIS WIFE OF ST. MARY’S CO. GRANT UNTO MARY RIDGELL ALL OF THE SAID COUNTY ALL THE ABOVE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED AS AFORESAID.
