If he dies without heirs by his present wife, she is to enjoy the land during her life and, after her death, it is devised to my son, Mark Brewer. He is also have a negro boy named Jack, and two negro girls named Poll and Phyllis. Son: Joseph Brewer, one gray mare and colt now with her; one bed and furniture; one ewe and lamb. Son: Thomas Brewer, one cow and calf being all of the cattle belonging to me. All of the other cattle now on the plantation belong to my son, James Brewer. He is to also have one sow and pigs.Daughter: Winifred Walker, one ewe and lamb. Daughter: (unnamed), one ewe and lamb. Daughter Elizabeth Brewer, the bed and furniture now called hers and one chest. Wife: Winifred Brewer, the residue of my estate. If that does not equal one third of my estate, the deficit is to be made up out of the legacies made above (in equal portions) so that she may enjoy one third of my personal estate and dispose of it as she thinks proper.
