Dated September 23, 1733, St. Mary's Co., Maryland In the name of God Amen. I William Brian of St. Mary's Co. in the province of Maryland being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory, thanks be to God for it, and calling to remembrance that all flesh must dye, when it shall please God to call so make and constitute this my last will and testament in manner and form following, revoking & annulling all former will or wills heretofore by me made whatsoever & first I bequeath my soul to God that gave it and my body to the earth from whence it was taken, theb to be entered in Christian burial in such manner as my Executor hereafter named shall think fit and as for such Temporal Estate as almighty God has pleased to bestow on me. I do hereby dispose of in manner and form following, and First give and bequeath unto my son Henry Brian all that part of my dwelling plantation that lies on the south side of the fresh(?) that lead into Brittons Bay, being part of a tract of 50 acres of land called William______ to him and his heirs forever, Item: I bequeath to my son Henry Brian aforesaid that body____acres to my Plantation to him and his heirs forever. Item: I bequeath unto my son Henry Brian aforesaid that part of that tract of land that lies on the south side of the said fresh that it is called the Locust Thicket, lying in the ____________. I give and bequeath to my son William Brian that part of my plantation that lies on the north side of the fresh aforesaid called bt the name William ______ to him and his heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Ignatius Brian one cow and calf. Item I give and bequeath unto Ignatius Brian one lott of wedges. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son John Brian a cow and calf. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son John Brian my next best____. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son John Brian one lot of wedges. Item: I give and bequeath unto my four daughters, viz Henerita, Elenor, Mary and Elizabeth Brians, each a feather bed and furniture, My will is that if Henry Brian or William Brian should die without any lawful begotten heirs of their own bodies, that my land should fall to my son Ignatius Brian, to him and his heirs forever, and if Ignatius Brian should die without any lawful begotten heirs then to my son John Brian to him and his heirs forever. I will and desire that my remainingpart of my estate should be equally divided amongst my eight children. Lastly I do make and constitute and appoint my well beloved son Henry Brian to be whole and sole Executor of this my last will and testament.
