In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Mattingly of Saint Mary's County in the 
province of Maryland being in good health of body but in sound and perfect 
memory. Do make this my last will and Testament as follows----Infininis I 
bequeath my soul to God who gave it me, my body to the Earth after my departure 
to be decently buried at the Charge of my Estate and discretion of my Executor 
hereafter named--Item I will that my Just debts and funeral Charges be first 
paid----Item I nominate Constitute and ordain my beloving sister Mary Knott 
whole and sole Exor of this my last will and Testament----Item I give and 
bequeath unto my beloving sister Mary Knott all the Estate due me from my 
Grandfather Mattingly, and my unkle Edward Mattingly. Estate to hav and hol 
(Exoais?) forever I so ordain that this present will to be my last will and 
Testament in witness hereof I have set my hand and fixt my seal this the 1st day 
of May 1772
