The third church was begun in 1811, was occupied by the militia in 1813, and burned in early 1870's. The fourth and present church was built in 1878. Christ Episcopal Church was my church, when I was growing up. I have reserved a grave site, to be sure this is where I will rest. The cemetery is very small and there aren't any more sites available. The church is lovely, with beautiful stained glass windows and a quiet serene atmosphere. Iva Thompson Tombstone inscriptions as published in The Maryland and Delaware Genealogist, Raymond B.
