Part of the resurvey on Hager’s Delight beginning at the twenty fifth line Witnesses Thomas Prather, Basil Prather Washington Co., MD Bk C p 237, 238, 239 Abraham Trochsel to Peter Tysher made Jan 25, 1783, recorded Feb 11, 1783. One pound for three ½ acres part of Trochsel’s Resurvey joins land called Tom’s Chance owned by Peter Tysher. Witnesses John Stull and John Cellar Bk C p 317, 318,319 Abraham Trochsel to Alexander Clagett deed made March 19, 1783, recorded Apr 5, 1783. Fifteen hundred pounds for 233 acres. Land called Trochsel’s resurvey joins land called Henry’s Last Shift belonging to Mathias Ridenour also mentions the fifth line of Michael’s Folly one of the original lines. Catherine Trochsel wife of Abraham gave up her dower rights. Witnesses A Rentch and John Cellar justices of the peace. Book __ p 352, 353, 354 Abraham Trocshsal, farmer to Leonard Phifer, cooper, made and recorded May 3, 1783 for thirty pounds for three acres part of a tract of land called resurvey on Michael’s Briars, Michael’s Folly and part of the resurvey called Hager’s Delight includes land where John Whetstone made improvements. Mentions a gravel road leading to Elizabethtown and the great road.. Catherine Trochsall wife of Abraham gave up her right of dower. Witnesses John Barnes and A Rentch justices of the peace. Abraham’s signature appeared to be written in German on all deeds. I have been told these are not actual signatures, however the clerk tried to copy the way the people signed. Bk C? p 269, 270,271,272 Made and recorded March 15, 1783 Daniel Heester the younger of Philadelphia, PA attorney of Jonathan Hager the younger to Abraham Troxell Washington Co., MD executor of Balsor Haflebower late of Frederick Co., decd., lot # 93, 82 ft wide and 240 ft long, in Elizabethtown for 3 pounds. Balsor had a receipt dated June 19, 1774 which stated that he had paid four years quit rent on lot # 93 in Elizabeth town. Jonathan Hager Sr,. decd, .promised to make a deed for him if he built on it within one year. The lot was built on but Jonathan Hager died intestate before conveying lot to Balsor Huflebower. Daniel Heester, Jr had power of attorney dated 13 Dec 1777 to sell for Jonathan Hager Jr. John Shull and A Rentch witnesses. Bk C ? p 273,274, 275 As the executor of the estate of Balsor Haflebower, late of Frederick now Washington Co., Abraham sold lot no. 93 in Elizabeth town for 61 pounds to John Rape, breechesmaker, made and recorded March 15 1783 ,.
