Lowe Funkston, Maryland Letter: Dec. 15, 1942 Hello Frank, I am on board the USS Speed, one of the latest minesweepers and have charge of all Electrical Machinery; which covers main Propulsion, ship service, ventilation, refrigeration, rauges, gunnery, telephones, gyro compasses etc. So it keeps me hopping…Tell me did DeLoache & Laughinghouse get their appointments in the Naval Resen yet or are they still waiting?
