Mr. Leo H. Cronise
  Mr. Leo H. “Mike” Cronise, 75, of 236 S. Main St., Boonsboro, died Thursday, 
Aug. 16, at Western Maryland Hospital Center, Hagerstown.
  He was born June 28, 1909, in Appletown (Washington County), a son of the 
late Esby and Annie M. Smith Cronise.
  Mr. Cronise was a member of the Mount Nebo United Methodist Church, 
Boonsboro.  He was a retired florist and fruit farmer and he had owned and 
operated Cronise Florists in Boonsboro for many years.  He also was associated 
with Cronise amusement rides in Boonsboro.
  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ardell J. Phillips Cronise; one daughter, 
Mrs. Shirley Metz, Boonsboro; one son, Carroll P. “Buck” Cronise, Boonsboro; 
four sisters, mrs. Mega Ingram, Mrs. Ruth Ditto and Mrs. Terrace Fearnow, all 
of Hagerstown, and Mrs. Margaret Houpt, Boonsboro; one brother, Herman “Jim” 
Cronise, Hagerstown; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Bast Funeral 
Home, Boonsboro.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, in 
the funeral home chapel.  The Rev. Harry Angle will officiate.  Interment will 
be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
