The Daily Mail, Hagerstown MD December 1936
Atlee Clarence Eakle, son of Mrs. Hattie Eakle Smith, of Gapland, died Monday
evening at 6 o’clock at his home of pneumonia, after an illness of several days,
aged 19. He is survived by his mother; brothers Elwood, Billie, and Junior
Eakle; Sisters, Hilda, Frances, and Geraldine, all at home; grandmother Mrs. Ada
Rohrback, Gapland. Funeral Thursday afternoon; services at the home at 2
o’clock; by Rev. H. C. Erdman, Burkittsville. Internment in Boonsboro Cemetary.

Additional Comments:
I forgot to copy down the date of the newspaper but I did write down the date
that he died. Next time I go back to the library I will get the date. So if you
