He had been a life long resident of the Clear Spring District. A son of the late Harry L. and Barbara (Carty) Mills, he is survived by wife, Mrs. Lela Mills, sons, Harry C., Milton A., Raymond R., all of Clear Spring, daughters, Mrs. Rosie Yost, Mrs. Mary Bridendolph, both of Clear Spring; brothers, Roman, Jesse, Roy, all of Clear Spring; Harry, Downsville; Thomas, Clear Spring; William, Cumberland; Raymond, Shickshinny, Pa.; sisters, Mrs. Daisy Staley, Mrs. Rosie Flanagan, Cear (sic.) Spring; 40 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul's Church, Western Pike, Rev. J. Wade Huffman officiating, with interment in St. Paul's Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence. Additional Comments: Charles Amos Mills born May 1, 1887 died June 6, 1953 He was the father of Rosie Viola Mills Yost. His parents were Harry Milton Mills born 1865 died 1889 and Barbara Ella McCarthy Mills born 1868 died May 22, 1934. Lived in Indian Spring, Maryland. Charles is buried beside his wife Lela Mae Myers Mills at St. Paul Cemetery on route # 40, Clear Spring, Maryland.
