Mrs. Hattie M. Yost
  Mrs. Hattie Magdalene Yost, 89, of 648 No. Prospect St., died at Washington County
Hospital on Tuesday.
  She was the widow of James William Yost and a daughter of William and Mary McCarty
Snyder.  She was a member of Mt. Carmel Church in Shankstown.
  She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Mary Daley of Hagerstown, Mrs. Ruth Shaw of Cabin 
John, Md., Mrs. Emma King of Clear Spring; son, Charles R. of Clear Spring; 23 
grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren.
  Mrs. Newman was recently cited by the Auxiliary to the Washington County Hospital
for having given over 10,000 hours of voluntary service to the patients at the 
hospital.  She worked all day Monday at the hospital in this capacity.
  Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Rowland Funeral Home in Clear Spring.
The Rev. DeWitt Miller will officiate, burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Clear Spring.
  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7 to 9.
