James William Yost
  James William Yost, husband of Mrs. Hattie M. (Snyder) Yost, Clear Spring Route 2,
died at the Washington County Hospital on Saturday morning, aged 80 years.
  He was the son of the late Joyce and Alice Yost and was a lifelong resident of this
section.  He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren
Church, Shanktown, Md.
  In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Mrs. Ella M. Smith, Boonsboro;
Mrs. Mary I. Daley, Hagerstown; Mrs. Ruth V. Shaw, Cabin John, Md.; and Mrs. Emma M.
King, Clear Spring; son, Charles Yost, Clear Spring; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great
grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held at the Clark Funeral Home, Clear Spring, Tuesday 
afternoon at four o'clock with the Rev. William Helms officiating.  Burial in Rose
Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring.  Friends may call at the funeral home between 1-9 p. m.
Sunday and Monday.

William Yost was born Sept 21 1879 died Nov 28 1959 at Washington County Hospital.   
James was raised by Joshua B and Indiana Mills Yost.  His father is a mystery his mother 
was Joshua’s sister Alice Virginia Yost.  James William Yost’s wife was Hattie Magdalene 
Snyder born July 8 1881 Died Sept 29 1970 at Washington County Hospital
