C and p. 3, col. A Elizabeth-Town, Maryland, May 3. Died, on Friday last, aged 51 years, the Rev. GEORGE YOUNG, who, for about 19 years, officiated as Minister of the Gospel in the German Lutheran Congregation of this Town.---He was a man of piety, integrity and learning, and possessed a heart pregnant, in an high degree, with friendship, benevolence, urbanity, charity, and a tremendous train of other christian and social virtues. His remains were decently interred on Sunday, admidst his mourning relatives and neighbours. He has left a young and disconsolate widow and a number of children to bewail, more especially, the loss. After the funeral rites were over, a well adapted sermon was preached by the Rev. Yunck, from the Second Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, 8th and 9th verses. "For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were oppressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life; But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raises the dead."
