I give and bequeath to my Son in Law and my Daughter, Joseph and Mary Clarke one English Shilling. Second, I give and bequeath to my Son Joseph Reynolds his heirs and assigns forever five hundred acres of Land it being the lower part of a tract of Land left me by my husband William Baird lying and being on Gnatty Creek Harrison County and State of Virginia for which my Son Joseph Reynolds bought and paid for but never has been conveyed to my Son Joseph Reynolds. Third, I give and bequeath to my Son John Reynolds, him, his heirs and assigns three hundred acres of said Tract surveyed by Breckenridge. Fifth, I give and bequeath to my Son in Law and my Daughter Edward A. and Sarah Thomas one English Shilling. Sixth, I give and bequeath to my Son William McKee Reynolds, him, his heirs or assigns forever one hundred acres of Land of the same survey by Breckenridge. Seventh, I give and bequeath to my Son Thomas Reynolds one English Shilling. Eighth, I give and bequeath to my Daughter Fanny Baird one pair sugar tongs and six teaspoons. Ninth, I give and bequeath to by Daughter Peggy Baird six teaspoons, likewise all my books to be equally divided between my two Daughters…Fanny and Peggy Baird. Tenth, and lastly _______ that the remaining five hundred acres of Land lying on Gnatty Creek, Harrison County, State of Virginia to be sold. _________ all my personal possessions to be ______ to discharge my debts. It is further my desire that if there is anything left after the debts are paid, it shall be divided between my Daughter Elizabeth Reynolds and my Son William McKee Reynolds. I do also order and appoint my Son Joseph Reynolds and my Son William McKee Reynolds, Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 12th day of May 1800. Signed, sealed, published and declared by me, Margaret Baird as my last Will and Testament in the presence of us: William McNeel, Timothy Monahan, Fanny Monahan ~ Margaret Baird On the back of the original Will of the aforesaid Margaret BAIRD are the following endorsements to wit. Washington County, on the 15th day of Sept. 1800 came William McNeel, Fanny Monahan, two of the subscribing witnesses to the within last Will & Testament, Margaret Baird, late of said county, Deceased, and ______ made Oath on the holy or angels of Almighty God that they did see the Testatrix herein hand sign and seal this Will. That they heard her publish, pronounce and declare her desire to be her last Will & Testament. That at the time of her so doing she was to the seal of this. Apprehensions of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and that they respectively subscribed their names as Witness to this Will and it’s presence and at the request of the Testrix and that they saw Timothy Monahan and other subscribing witnesses do the same. On the 17th day of September 1800 came Joseph Reynolds & William McKee Reynolds and made Oath & that the Witness Instrument of Writing is the true and whole Will & Testament of Margaret Baird, Deceased, that hath come to their hands or possession and that they do not know of any other.
