I Frederick Rohrer Senr. of Washington County in the State of Maryland being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I principally commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named, and after my debts and funeral chrges are all paid off. I give devise and bequeath as follows, I give and devise unto my daughter Magdelene who has intermarried with John May, the following tracts or parts of tracts of land. The first being part of a Tract of land called Peasant Valley lying in the County aforesaid, beginning at a stone standing in a road and about 3 perches NW. from a large black oak tree and running thence through the middle of a lane East 24 1/2 ps N 26 1/2 E 68 ps w 63 1/2 W 69 3/4 ps N. 89 W 17 ps to the middle of little Antietam Creek thence up though though the middle of said creek the 9 following courses S 11 E 13 ps S 35 1/2 E 10 3/4 ps to an ash sapling S 24 3/4 E 14 1/2 ps S 22 1/2 W 12 ps S 20 W 18 ps S 6 1/2 W 20 ps S 28 W 9 ps S 13 1/2 W 14 ps S 23 W 34, thence leaving said Creek S 73 1/4, E 5 1/2 ps n 21 1/2 E 70 ps to a stone near the said Mays house thence with a straight line to the beginning containing by estimation 32 3/8th acres of land for which the said Magdaline is to pay my Estate forty two dollars pr acre. Also 16 3/4 acres and 11 perches of land known by the name of Pleasant Valley lying east of the above described land as laid off for the said John May husband to my Daughter Magdalene for which he is to pay my estate thirty seven dollars and fifty cents for each acre, also 12 1/2 acres of land known by the name of Park Hall heretofore laid off for John May aforesaid for which my daughter Magdalene is to pay twenty dollars for each acre, in which I give and bequeath unto the said Magdelene one thousand and fifty five dollars, she having already received four hundred and forty five dollars making her portion fifteen hundred dollars. I give an devise unto my Son Christian Rohrer, The balance of my home place the quantity not precisey known: to him, his heirs or assigns in fee simple for which I charge him forty two dollars for each acre, to be paid to my estate. It is my wish and Will that my son Christian shall have fifteen hundred dollars out of the proceeds of this Will as his portion or legacy. I also devise unto my son Christian 35 acres of mountain land known by the name of Mount Atlas for which he is to pay to my Estate four dollars pr acre. I give and deviseunto my daughter Mary Keefauver, wife of Geo. Keefauver 12 1/2 acres of land known by the name of part of Park Hall beginning at the end of the first line of Magdelene Mays part of Park Hall thence s 72 1/2 E 57 ps w 31 1/2 E 34 3/4 ps w 72 1/2 W 64 ps thence to the beginning the above 12 1/2 acres for the sole use and benefit of my said daughter Mary and out of the power and control of the said George Keefauver. I give and bequeath unto my grand Children Children of my son Jonathan Rohrer (who is now dead) namely Simon, Amelia and Magdelene each one five hundred dollars current money when they arrive at twenty one years of age. I give and bequeath unto my Grand Children Children of my daughter Susanah (who is now dead namely Mary, Elizabeth and Amelia Thomas each one five hundred dollars to be paid to each one respectively as it arrives at the age of twenty one Years of age. I order and direct that my son Christian have a watering place in the road now in use , and the use and benefit of the water Spring in John Clays house forever to use said water as he the said Christian, or his heirs or assign may thik proper the land now open shall not be closed without the consent and the will of the said Christian. I order and direct that the rest of my Estate both personal & real shall be divided amongst all my children, share and share alike, my Son Jonathan Children to draw one share and my daughter Susanah children to draw a share with one of my children, that is to say Jonathan draws one share and Susanah one share to be paid them by my Executors hereinafter named when they arrive at the age of twenty one Years respectively. I order and direct that the sum of three hundred and ninety dollars be deducted from my Son Christians paymnts, he having paid me that sum on land hereinbefore devised. I order and direct the payments to be made by my so Christian and Magdelene pay as follows each one to pay one hundred and forty dollars on the first day of April After my decease, and one hundred and forty dollars on the first day of April in each year afterward untill all is paid without interest. Lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my sons David Rohrer & Frderick Rohrer sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament ratifying this and none other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof the said Frederick Rohrer has hereunto set his hand ad affixed hs seal this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one. Rohrer John Rohrer William Cost Washington County To wit: On this 28th day of March 1832 came David Rohrer & Frederick Rohrer and made oath that this is the true and whole Will of Frederick Rohrer late of said County Deceased that hath come to their hands or possession and that they do not know nor hath heard of any other. At the sametime came John M. Rohrer and William Cast and severally made Oath that they did see the Testator herein named sign and seal this Will, that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament, that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and dispasing mind memory and understanding, that they subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence and at the request of the Testator, and in the presence of each other and that they saw John Rohrer the oter subscribing Witness do the same.
