I Michael Thomas of Washington County and State of Maryland do make this my Second Will, not disanulling my former Will and Testament and this and no other to be taken only for the Heirs of my Son Christian Thomas Deceased, of this County. I, do hereby by these presents give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Gabriel Thomas, and Margreth Thomas, these their haires and assigns forever all theise their'e two Tracts of Land situate and lying in the County aforesaid part of pens disappointment and part of felt foot Enlarged. Beginning for the whole Reduced into one tract at a Stone with no. 1, Standng at the end of Seventy Eight perches on the third line of pens disappointment and Running thence N 47, W 84 ps to a Stone no. 2, then n 2, W 48 prs to a Stone no. 3, then north 8, E 18 ps to a Stone no. 4, at the line of fence of Jacob Thomas then with said line of fence N 16, W 78 ps to two white Oak trees. Then no. 22 1/4 W, 110 ps to a Stone no. 5, then no 69, E 153 ps. to a Stone no. 6, then S. 8d, W 230 prs to a Stone no. 7, then S 87 W 48 ps to a Stone no. 8, then S 8d E. 18 ps to a Stone no. 9, N 87, E 64 ps to a Stone no. 10, then S 16 E 34 ps to a Stone no. 11, then S 21, W. 34 ps to a Stone no. 12, then by a Straight line to the Beginning Stone no. 1, Containing and now laid Out for One Hundred, and forty One acres and an half acres of Land, more or less, to have and to hold to them there heir's and assigns Joyntly in Quantity and Quality, it is my further Will, and pleasure and I order Allow and Ordain that Chatharine Thomas Widow to Christian Thomas shall have hold Occopy and Enjoy peacable and Quietly without any disturbance by any persons whatsoever, during the time shee shall remain the said Christian Thomas Widow the aforesaid Land, and if Shee marries Agin she shall then deliver up the afoesaid Land and primisses with out any Quinigation in any wise to Michael Thomas Junr. and Peter John Junr. whom I appoint as Trusteys to deliver up said Land and primisses to said Children when the youngest shall arrive to to age of Twenty One Years, and if she Marreys and the trusteys take the Land in hand it shall be rented out by them the assessment first paid and the remainder of the rent to be Eaqually devited amongst the said Children. I likewise Impower my said Trusteys when the take the Land in passession to have no more timper destroyed then what is nessassery to uphold the place in Good and Tenable Order it is my further Will and desire that the Children shall have Sufficion Scholling and brought up in a Christian Manner it is like wise my further Will that these foure Children of Christian Thomas shall receive and have to them that part which is in my former Will, Bequeathed to him. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this day and year above Writen. his Michael MT Thomas (seal) mark Witness Conrad Hogmire, Peter John, Jacob Thomas Washington County, Sat Sept 25 1784 Came Peter John & Michael Thomas two of the Subscribing Witnesses to the Writhin Second Will of Michael Thomas late of said County deceased & made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did see the Testator therein named Sign & Seal this Will, that they heard him publish pronounce & declare the same to be his Second Will, that at the time of his So doing he was to the best of their apprehentions of Sound & disposing mind memory & understanding, that they Subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence and at the request of the Testator & in the presence of each other & that they Saw Conrad Hogmire do the same. by Thomas Belt Regr
