Obituary in the Local Department of the Salisbury Advertiser of Saturday, May 
24, 1902, p.7 states:

Mr. William Perry died this (Friday) afternoon at his home in California, of 
Pneumonia.  He had been ill since last Sunday.  Surviving him are a wife and 
three children.  His widow is a daughter of John Disharoon.  Mr. Perry was a 
brother of Messrs. Richard and Roland Perry.

Note: It is believed that California refers to a section of Salisbury.
