I bequeath my Body to the Ground to be interned decently at the Pleasure of my Executor & my soul to God who gave it. as for my Worldly Estate with which it hath pleased God to bless me I bequeath in Manner following vz. Imprimis I Give & Bequeath unto my Beloved wife Mary all the property of which at present I am possessed whether Real or personal during her natural life or widowhood my Just Debts first being paid. Item upon or after the Death or Marriage of my wife Mary I give & bequeath my land as follows there being a large Ditch within sixty yards of my dwelling house about two hundred yards long, I desire that a line bearing the same Course with, or which the afore Ditch bears my be drawn from each end of said ditch upon the two opposite corners beginning at the middle of the ditch & that course contained until it Intersects the two opposite sides of my Plantation, I give and bequeath unto my two sons Jesse and Barnabus the whole of my land being divided into two parts by the ditch & line afore & desire that my son Jesse should have his choice & ---- Jesse in hish side of the Ditch & line afore. he may chooin, the said Land with all it appurtenances as to be at the use & disposal of them & their heirs forever. Item I order will and desire that after my afore Jesse and his Guardian or trustees shall be peaceably possessed of either of the afore divisions of Land during the space of three Years he shall pay unto his Brother Curtis Henderson his heirs and assigns the sum of ten pounds Maryland Currency upon demand I also will that the afore Jesse pay unto his Sister Nancy at the same time and in the same Currency unto her heirs or assigns the afore sum of ten pounds Item I will, order & desire that after my son Barnabus or his Guardian, Trustees shall be peaceably possessed of either the afore divisions of Land during the space of three years he shall pay unto his Brother Samuel & his Sister Mary & to each of them or their heirs or assigns upon demand, the afore sum of ten pounds Maryland Currency. Item After my Wife Marys Decease or Marriage, I gave unto my son Samuel one Bed & furniture & one Cow & Calf. Item after my Wifes Decease or Marriage, I give unto my daughter Mary a negro fellow called Tom. Item after my Wife Marys Decease or Marriage I give unto my son Curtis one Walnut Desk & one Walnut Table. Lastly I appoint & constitute my son Curtis & my beloved wife Mary Executor & Executasse of this my last Will & Testament , equally & jointly. Revoking & dis--- all former Wills & Testaments by me before made. In Witness of the above declaration I have here unto Set my hand & of fixed my seal this 26th of November Anno Domino One Thousand Seven hundred & eighty eight.
