I Rachliff Pointer, of Worcester County & Province of Maryland Planter being Sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory Praise be given to almighty God I do make & ordain this my last will & Testament in manner & form following that as to Principaly & first of all I Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping through the merits of Death & passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have forgiven me of all my sins & to Inherit Everlasting Life & my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently Buryed at the Direction of my Executrix hereafter named and as Touching my worldly Estate and hath pleased God to Bestow upon me I give & Dispose thereof as followeth Item Igive and Bequeath to my Son Thomas Poynter two cows & calves & one ewe Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Zeporah Pointer two cows and Calves and one ewe Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Ariudo (Amanda?) Pointer two cows and one ewe Item I give & Bequeath to my son Thomas Pointer one horse and one Bed and two Hogs Item I give & Bequeath to my Daughter Zeporah Pointer one Horse & One Bed & two hogs Item I give & Bequeath to my Daughter Areaduh Pointer one horse & one Bed & two hogs Item I give & Bequeath unto the child that my wife Ruth is Big with at this present time if it is pleased God it should live two cows & one ewe. I desire my loving wife Ruth Pointer should be full and sole Exec. of this my Last will & Testament and desire that my Body may be buryed in a Christian Like manner & I do hereby Revoke & Disanull and make void all former wills and Testaments by me heretofore made In Witness my hand and seal this 14th day of Sept Anno Domini 1753. Signed sealed & Delivered in the Present of us Rachliff [his mark] Poynter William Smock Elias [His Mark]Pointer At the foot of the foregoing was wrote the following: Probated March 27 1758 came William Smock Henry Smock Elias Pointer and Henry Smock the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will and made oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almight God that they saw Rachliff Pointer the Testator sign seal & heard him publish pronounce & declare the same to be his last will & testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension of a sound disposing mind & menory and that they subscribed their names as witnesses to the said will in the presence of the testator and at his Request.
