Leighton Cemetery on north bound side of Washington
Street.

(The History of Auburn, Maine titled "1869 - Auburn
- 1969, 100 Years a City, A study in Community
Growth, by Skinner, Libby & Merrill on page 304
states: The Leighton Cemetery, is on the northbound
section of Washington Street, in a field across from
some large oil tanks. The cemetery is near the
former residence of the Leighton family. Later the
Fortin family ran an egg business there for years.)
