Book Title: History Of Durham, Maine

HOOPER.

   David Hooper bought 70 acres of Benjamin and Lydia "Lovekin" in 1796, on the
lower County Road. His son Nehemiah married Tukey Mitchell of Freeport and
settled here. The births of two children are recorded in Durham, Dummer Mitchell
b. 3 Nov. 1803 and David b. 4 July 1804 (sic.)
